This is an old hotel that is being updated. My room was completely modern as was the bath. Both the room and bath had opening windows! The location is great, about 7 minutes walk from the train station, 5 minutes to the bus station and 5-10 minutes to the city center. The only glitch I encountered was when I tried to take the stairs instead of the one elevator - that's when I discovered that not all of the hotel has been renovated yet. The pathway to use the stairs was a bit disjointed and involved two different sets of stairs that seemed to be from two different eras.

Close to airport. Free parking for one night. Friendly staff. Small negative things. For instance the shower was bad, carpet dirty, the stage before need to fixing up.

The hotel is very centrally located in Cork, 5min walking to shops, bars and restaurants. This hotel has been open in Cork for more than 200 years. The hotel is well run and maintained. The hotel has a great coffee shop, formal restaurant and a large bar, each of which is decorated very well. The staff is great, very friendly.

This is a quaint bed and breakfast (although we did not realize breakfast was not included with our Expedia reservation until we arrived). Super convenient to Ballymaloe Cookery School and we enjoyed a short drive to the beach as well. There are very few dining options in the area and everything closed very early so keep that in mind when planning your visit. We drove 30 minutes to find a open restaurant/bar to eat dinner. Wonderful coastal drive back to Dublin through Waterford.

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in, beautiful setting, fantastic grounds, wonderfully comfortable and well equipped room, great restaurants, bar and facilities. The staff were all amazing and we didn’t want to leave. Thank you for a very special stay
