The rooms are beautifully decorated and the pub/hotel has a lovely oldie world feel to it. The surroundings were very peaceful. The service was also faultless - when we asked for a couple of things to be changed in the room it was done immediately. The Walnut Tree was excellent value for what we paid.
The only reason I have not given five stars is that the room was a little chilly when we arrived - but that resolved, and one mattress in our twin room (ref to landlord – the one nearest the window) could have done with a topper or updating. But that is not to denigrate what is a really lovely hotel for a great price.

Beautiful property, Convenient to city but across the river to quiet.. Right next to trail thru water meadows to city as well as roads direct to city.

"Lady at check in very rude rolling eyes etc bad first impression.the evening before the fella was very nice.very hot room even with fan. Bed comfortable .a little fridge in room would be good .during heatwave somewhere to keep things cold a must.good pool and sauna .good value for money"
