Casa Do Loureiro was spacious, very clean, and very well decorated. It was comfortable, and included a third floor outdoor balcony with a view of the Atlantic and surrounding neighborhood. There were a couple of bus stops within blocks of the apartment, making it relatively easy to make to downtown Funchal (a 20-minute ride).Beyond the property, the host (Clara, an artist) was outstanding... very considerate, responsive, and professional. We were all terribly impressed with her.

Pros: Sehr fürsorgliche, freundliche Gastgeber. Lage sehr gut, um mit dem Bus (und bergab auch zu Fuß) zum Hafen und in die Innenstadt zu gelangen; trotzdem ruhige Seitenstraße. Weit überdurchschnittlich gut ausgestattet, mit viel Liebe zum Detail, z.B. Silvester-Dekoration (Wir waren zum Jahreswechsel vor Ort), Pflanzen, perfekte Küchenausstattung, geschmackvoll abgestimmte Möblierung, Vorhänge usw. Als Willkommensgruß gab’s lokale Spezialitäten (Sekt, Kekse..) Cons: Nichts. Man muss natürlich wissen, dass man in einer Stadt ist und kann keinen Riesengarten wie auf dem Land erwarten.
