“Rowan Cottage is a super cute place to stay. It is nestled in the forest which would be a great place to explore if I brought my little ones. (Next time for sure). When we entered it was nice and toasty warm. The lounge and kitchen had everything we needed. The house directions/expectations were easily found. "Staying at this hotel was like a roller coaster of service, and I just wanted to get away. Breakfast: We were asked to pay an extra £18 per person, and we were told we could cancel it, but they forced it on us. Cleaning: The "wet" towels were placed on the bed, but how do I use them? Biscuits were only replenished on the last day. The cleaning standards varied from day to day, suggesting a problem with "standardized procedures" and "staff training." They even unplugged our chargers and threw them on the floor without permission. The lunch server said there were no sundaes, but the dinner server said they were available "all day.""
