"We loved this bright, clean, and hospitable hotel. The location was stellar and the staff were all very warm and courteous, which made for a very relaxing stay. A bonus surprise for us was the delicious lamb stew we had in their dining room. It was so very tasty and the crusty bread that came with it was perfect! I wish we could've tried their fish stew as well. Our room was lovely - it was super clean, had a terrific shower, and a big window with a scenic view. As other reviewers have said, the room is quite small so we were prepared to pack efficiently and it worked out fine for us. There was a cupboard under the sink in which we stored our toothbrush, etc. My mattress was slightly uneven (flatter on one side), and perhaps they could be turned more often. The elevator came in handy as we were on the upper level. The town itself is peaceful, with the Fontana spa just steps away. The gas station close by was also a nice convenience. We stayed two nights which gave us ample time to visit the must-see sites in the Golden Circle, plus have time for impromptu hikes and stops along the way. It was nice to come back to the hotel at the end of the day and have tea in the airy dining room before retiring to bed. We had a such a memorable stay here, and commend the staff for attending to the many small details which made our holiday so enjoyable!"
