“We were surprised to not receive address or check-in information prior to arriving at lodge.Host was responsive when messaging for checkin process and provided fans to improve airflow and temperature of room.There was a thumping noise that we heard all night - not sure if it was repair work on tracks below the highway or a sump pump but it kept us up most of the night.Bed was more of a futon and firm and not comfortable. "Great cozy lodge! The staff and owners were very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was provided. The entire felt historic, rooms were cozy, and the views you get from the rooms and the breakfast dining room was amazing. Parking was slightly uneasy as there wasn’t markings outside of the lodge, during peak or busy summer times, if all the rooms are occupied, be prepared that the parking space outside he property will all be occupied too. Driving into the lodge was a long 80km/h road which was dark from the Kicking horse Drive sitting on top of the Columbia River. Can be a little scary to drive through in the evening. Everything else was fine."

"The hotel room is large and clean, with a microwave and small pantry and cutlery. However the bathtub is a bit small comparatively. The hair dryer needs to be requested from the office but the opening hour is until 10pm so it will be a bit troublesome if you arrive later than that. Also you may be hearing noises from nearby rooms so consider if you are sensitive to noises during your sleep."
