“The cottage looks nice in photos and they do keep it as clean as they can; however, it is very rundown. We were bothered by the strong smell of fabric softener (gives us migraines) and mildew. The beds were uncomfortable, the bathroom narrow and dark, and overall, we just had “the creeps” the whole time. So much so that we left early. Honestly, we expected more for the price. You can find better options in the area for what we paid.”

“Over all the place was beautiful! The host responded quickly to any questions I had. I unfortunately did a late check in and had entered the code on a wrong keypad but the host had helped right away! It’s a pet friendly home and they also provide blankets and a bed for pets. They have a TV in both rooms! We plan to book in the future possibly with more family and friends! Also they can recommend places to visit, moved from Cali, it was a nice place to explore! Thank you Lea for the warm welcome!”

“This house was great for a group! Loved the kitchen and the big table, and the beds were very comfortable. They're obviously still working on a few items to improve the experience--the trail to the lake and the porch--but it's still a great house and in a nice, quiet location. (If you want to use the porch, I recommend bringing a fan.) The lake itself was great in that we could get to the other lakes in the chain. The chain of lakes was great! “This property had enough space for our group of 16 to spread out and enjoy our time at the Lake!! Communication from the host was quick and thorough and there were plenty of activities for our family to do. The lake house and cottage had everything we needed for the evenings we stayed in and cooked. When we did venture out into Hayward, there were plenty of great dining options. We really enjoyed our stay!”
