Welcome to our cozy cabin in the woods.Open year-round, you will find it to be well-equipped and spotless. Newly remodeled, this woodland getaway features a knotty Pine living room and Jacuzzi room. Two bedrooms; one has a queen bed, the other has two twin beds. Living room is fully equipped with a futon, 55" flat screen, and satellite television. This cabin sleeps 5 people. Laundry room includes a washer and dryer. Kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave, and oven. We are located one mile away from the famous Gates Lodge, and one mile away from Kneff Lake. Located only ten minutes away from world renowned Forest Dunes Golf Club. Only one mile away from the world famous AuSable river; perfect for fishing gates lodge. Great area for hunting and snowmobiling. Please note this is a non smoking cabin and is fully equipped with central air and Wi-Fi.

Perfect weekend getaway

Amazing weekend!!

It was a very romantic weekend! We were staying for our anniversary and we were only a 10 minute drive from downtown grayling and the cabin was so much bigger than I thought it would be. It was nice to curl up next to the fire place and go in the jacuzzi while watching a movie. It was the perfect weekend.

We loved the property and enjoyed our stay. It's a very quiet private location. It's exactly what we were hoping for. Despite being in a somewhat remote location we were close enough to drive to two state parks, Traverse City, Petoskey, the dark sky park and lots of little towns and markets. We will definitely stay at April's place again!!

Anniversary Getaway

Everything was exactly as the listing said. We had a great time just relaxing together in celebration of our 20th anniversary. The fireplace was so cozy and the jacuzzi relaxing! Would definitely recommend in the future and we hope to make this an annual getaway. :)

Great stay in Grayling!

Really enjoyed our recent stay in this terrific "cabin". Our group consisted of (4) adults and it was the perfect size. It is well located to several area attractions, as well as for day trips to Traverse City & Mackinaw City. The cabin is decorated and maintained very well by April & Charlie, and everything you could need is available. Being there in a week with some high temps made having A/C in the cabin a real plus. We hope to be back some day. Thanks again April & Charlie!.

This was our second time at Northern Memories if that tells you anything. Place was great and very clean. April went above and beyond this time once I told her this time was part of my honeymoon week. She created some personalized artwork for us and even helped set the mood with rose pedals, champagne, and chocolate dessert. Fantastic experience and I will continue coming here for years to come!

Annual fishing trip

This is the 5-6 time we rented the cabin. Again it was a great time. The house was very clean and has all the amentaties one could need. Close to the river and golf coarse. Still haven't use the jacuzzi. Maybe next time.

Northern Memories ia a wonderful, warm vacation home. Everything was clean and maintained. Kitchen very well stocked. A few things that we appreciated about this home, we were able to bring our 2 dogs, and had a fenced in back yard. Totally enjoyed their jacuzzi room. Watching the squirrels and birds. Owners had very detailed written instructions how the jacuzzi and tv worked. We did appreciate this !! Loved the gas fireplace...cozy !! Thank you for a wonderful stay !!

Perfect birthday getaway..

We have looked at booking this cabin several times and it's always full. Now that we finally got a chance to stay I see why. The cabin was a perfect place to have a relaxing, weekend getaway to celebrate my birthday. Very clean and had everything you could need. We found a fresh loaf of cinnamon bread from the local bakery waiting for us when we arrived. Perfect with coffee in the morning. The little extras left by the hosts were thoughtful and very much appreciated. The jacuzzi was a great way to relax and loved that it had it's own room with a tv, refrigerator and small bar area. I would highly recommend this cabin.

37th anniversary trip

This was our 3rd time staying at Northern Memories. They had lost power the second time we stayed, and they had communicated that to us. They assured us that we could still use everything in the cabin. They had a portable generator at the time, and they kept it running the entire weekend! Imagine our reaction when we arrived and they had installed an automatic generator! Needless to say, we had another great weekend, despite the rain on Friday and Sunday!

Great getaway

The inside is pristine, very cute up north decor throughout the house. Hot tub and fireplace are definitely a plus! Close enough to town but far enough to be in nature. Love the window with the bird feeders outside. Saw many birds, squirrels, chipmunks, and a rabbit. Very relaxing place to be!
