Very good for dinner and breakfast

A really good welcome and a free car park (once reg entered onto system at Reception). The double room was large and clean. As this is a heritage building, there is an impressively sloping - and creaking/squeaking - floor. Luckily, I couldn’t hear much from the function room below, and nothing from the bar. But a lot of noise from other room’s plumbing and doors slamming can be heard in the room. Plus there is light from under the main room door so it may not be fire-safe. I’d recommend bringing ear plugs. There’s an extensive ‘pub grub’ menu available on-site, and plenty of eateries nearby including a chippy opposite. Sainsbury’s is under 5 mins walk too.

Clean, spacious & comfortable room. Warm and friendly welcome, delicious breakfast with excellent choices. The only negative was the shower (room 575). It had very little water pressure and no hot water, pretty much unusable. As a solo traveller it wasn’t the end of the world but couples and families may have struggled.

The room was clean and bathroom/shower excellent.
