Not suitable for seniors - no elevator or handle bars in bathroom. Otherwise very well appointed and modern renovation. Staff were very helpful. Access to a local laundry should be via the front desk and not by having to walk up the street and find the place and pick up etc. We are not as mobile as we used to be (80 ). Our nephew lives nearby hence we were staying locally. First night we dined late - the cook seemed more interested in talking to another guest and the Chicken Supreme was like blotting paper and minimal size. Too late to send back. Otherwise later it was all ok.

Lovely hotel. Attention to detail needed.
The room was not hoovered. I found a hair grip in the floor when I first went into the room and on closer inspection the carpets had not been hoovered. Or at least hoovered adequately. Also the late night music was directly under my room.

The hotel was newly refurbished and very clean. It's one of those setups where a sliding door doubles as a door for the bathroom and the wardrobe. The service at the bar in the evening and also for breakfast the next morning was very slow.

The Redhurst Hotel is a nice simple inn located in Giffnock, Glasgow. About a 25 minute train ride from Central Station.. We were there in mid-august. The staff were great. Very friendly and welcoming. The hotel has a nice pub and some sort of event hall. No real grounds to speak of. The rooms were simple, slightly worn, but comfortable enough. I normally stay in a chain hotel like a Marriot or Raddison, but had to be in this area, so made do here. Not an uncomfortable stay at all, but not quite what I was used to. Cottage inn feel.

Nice hotel, Past its prime
Nice location in the Giffnock area. Plain and simple property, good service. Minimal amenities. We were in a suite, which was larger and more nicely furnished than standard rooms. But the place was threadbare. Mattress needs replacing. No telephone. No clock. No refrigerator. 1 of 2 windows not working properly. No AC, though not often needed in Glasgow. Free breakfast. Nice bar downstairs.

My family and my wife and I stayed for 2 nights for a family wedding, I was given the Giffnock suite which I was told is there best room, my 4 sons and partners had also booked rooms My room was fabulous clean spacious with a luxury feel about it, but my sons rooms were very dated and tired The staff are really friendly and helpful

Great stay just needs a little tlc
Great service and breakfast, hotel is nice just in need of a little tlc. Few little things, especially bathroom just a little tired. Everything is clean and bed is comfortable.

Good value for money
Of the available hotels in Giffnock, this was the cheapest so our expectation wasn't high. We were pleasantly surprised! The rooms are a little dated and in need of a refresh and VERY hot, but were well maintained with excellent room amenities. The public areas (bar & restaurant) were nice and cosy and the staff were very pleasant. Would likely stay again if in the same area.
