The house is in the most picturesque location. We spent hours in the deck listening to trees and birds, looking at the sunset, cooking BBQ. Lots of fabulous eateries within 30 mins drive. The host is responsive and the house is very well equipped. Wuld recommend to friends and family.

A beautiful spot in the mountains

A lovely location in the Wicklow Mountains. Quiet and peaceful with lots of walks nearby. Ron was very responsive and the lodge was well appointed and clean. A great stay.

Really enjoyed my stay in the Garden of Ireland!!

The cabin was comfortable with an absolutely beautiful view. The little town of Rathdrum and so many amazing sights in Wicklow were so conveniently close! I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommend!

Beautiful

Our second year staying in this home. Awesome views from deck amazing to sit and watch the birds of prey and other wild life. As a family it’s the perfect base with so much to do and see in just a short car journey. The home itself is fantastic very clean with everything you need.

Location was lovely. Enjoyed the deck in the evening. The nearby town had everything we needed-groceries, take away, pub, restaurant…The nearby treetop walk was fantastic. The cabin was clean and comfortable. I was surprised that there were several cabins, close together but it was peaceful and quiet.

Gorgeous Getaway

The views from this rental are absolutely stunning, and can be enjoyed from nearly every room, as well as the back deck. This is a perfect, 2-bedroom home base for touring Ireland. At night, we'd enjoy the comfortable chairs and streaming options on TV, and during the day we'd sight-see or listen to the valley river, cows, and birds from our back deck. It was my favorite location on our UK tour and I would gladly stay again.

House in the country

Enjoyed watching the sheep from the deck. House was neat and clean. We never saw anyone else our whole week stay. Wife would have liked an electrical outlet in the bathroom. Grocery store was 15 minutes away

Magnificent cabin in the Wicklow Mountains

What a beautiful, serene property in the gorgeous Wicklow mountains! We purposely chose to stay in the mountains towards the end of our 3 week visit to Ireland, figuring we could use the “down” time and that is exactly what we got. Other than a day tour to Kilkenny we stayed put, cooking locally bought foods (including a lovely Sunday roast beef with Yorkshire pudding), doing laundry, and enjoying the beautiful views and wildlife that paid us daily visits. The cabin is even bigger than it looks in the photos, master bed was so comfortable, bathrooms were modern and beautiful and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need. Overall we enjoyed our stay immensely. Thanks Ron!

Absolutely Gorgeous!

Rented the lodge for a week. Initially hard to find, but that was part of the attraction as it's set in a beautiful valley facing the mountains. More spacious and comfortable than it looked in the photos. The balcony is large and the best place to enjoy the peace and beauty of the location. It's the last in a run of lodges so you have all of the views and aren't overlooked. The kitchen has everything you need. Both bathrooms looked relatively new. There are about 10 steps down to the lodge that are well spaced and manageable for most. Ample parking for a couple of cars. About 5 to 10 minutes drive to Rathdrum, where there are enough shops to get what you need. Will definitely be booking again.

Too many issues

We absolutely loved the rental and the surrounding area but had a lot of issues with this property. Would have been nice to have more detailed instructions on how to operate things in the house. We couldn’t even figure out how to get out the back door. ( it was difficult) After many attempts we realized you had to push the handle down very hard and then it would slide open. Main bathroom toilet wouldn’t flush (that did get fixed after 2 messages), no hot water in the sink, shower didn’t work in the other bathroom, (they did message us that that is being replaced), couldn’t find instructions for washing machine (after digging around we did locate those), etc. We contacted the property manager about all the issues and she did come quite quickly but said she would check back and to our knowledge she never did. She might have and we weren’t there but there was no indication she had come by. So many wonderful things about this property. If there hadn’t been issues it would have gotten 5+ stars.

Wir hatten das Vergnügen, einen unvergesslichen Familienurlaub in diesem charmanten Cottage in Irland zu verbringen. Das Cottage liegt abgelegen und bietet eine wunderbare Ruhe, die perfekt für eine erholsame Auszeit vom Alltag ist. Die Einrichtung war liebevoll gestaltet und komplett ausgestattet, sodass es uns an nichts fehlte. Die Umgebung war einfach traumhaft, mit atemberaubenden Landschaften. Die irische Gastfreundschaft hat uns besonders beeindruckt – die Einheimischen waren äußerst nett und hilfsbereit, was unseren Aufenthalt noch angenehmer gemacht hat. Wir würden definitiv wiederkommen und können dieses Cottage wärmstens weiterempfehlen. Irland hat sich als wunderschönes und gastfreundliches Land erwiesen, das uns noch lange in Erinnerung bleiben wird.

Hervorragende Lage

Das Ferienhaus ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen wohnlichen Aufenthalt braucht. Der Ausblick von der Terrasse in die Wicklow Mountains ist atemberaubend schön. Bei Ankunft hätte die Sauberkeit etwas besser sein können. Der Staubsauger war so voll, dass er nicht saugfähig war. Es gab am 2. Tag einen Stromausfall. 2 der angegebenen Telefonnummern wurden als "wrong Number" angesagt, die 3. Nummer (Hauptkontakt) erreichte ich erst nach mehreren Versuchen, auf Whats app erhielt ich keine Antwort. Der Besitzer meldete sich auf Mailanfrage jedoch schnell. So erhielten wir die Nachricht, dass es ein genereller Stromausfall im Wohngebiet war. Das Wasser aus dem Wasserhahn (Badezimmer) läuft etwas dünn, auch Toiletten füllen sich langsam wieder auf. Insgesamt gesehen jedoch ist es ein schönes Ferienhaus mit toller Lage und sehr guter Ausstattung.
