This Holiday Inn Express is clean and well-kept, evidenced from the moment I stepped inside. I was disappointed that the fitness area was being repaired, possibly from a ceiling leak. The pool area was adequate for a small number of people, but needed cleaning. Suggestion: Enclose the pool for indoor swimming. Otherwise, quick, personable check-in cinched my pleasant experience at this facility!

Not a bad hotel, but it's obviously in need of a thorough cleaning and updated decor. The staff is pleasant and are doing their best to make your stay enjoyable. Company need to invest in upkeep of the property. It's obviously decaying due to consistent maximized occupancy.

I liked that it was very easy to get to from highway 70 in Kinston. I also enjoyed the staff. They were very friendly, courteous and professional. The hotel was well maintain. The breakfast was okay, but I think it could have been better. The food was not as hot as I would have liked. And when you enter the area, there is some grass that need cutting. Also some construction right in front. Those take away from the appearance of the hotel. But I suppose that is beyond their control. Overall I think it's a nice place to stay.

This property was located in a good area for my visit with my family. But, we watched the morning breakfast team sit and play on their phones for 45 minutes when we needed the bar restocked and the front desk, other than sapphire, was pretty rigid and uncaring. There was mold in my shower.

Great place to stay! The breakfast is very good!! The cook is awesome and offers a very good variety of breakfast options even offered pork belly which was awesome with eggs and skillet potatoes!! I hope they continue to serve these because I look forward to having more during my next stay!

Home away from home

The hotel was very tidy and safe feeling. The rooms were also very clean and surprisingly spacious. The front desk service was immediate for any request I had. Was very surprised about the complementary breakfast and its wide selection. I’ll certainly be recommending this hotel to there’s looking to just get away!

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at! Only complaint is no one being at the front desk like ever unless you scream out hello or call while your at the front desk so someone can hear a phone ringing other than that amazing location, very clean, cold ac, black out curtains, great breakfast honestly all around a great stay! I will def be booking again :)
