Nice bar around the corner open till late, but needed to go into the city to find somewhere to eat Our only issue was the advertised pool was not open, though clearly had been When we asked about it the owner said no We went down to the pool area to sit out and he was there covering it up so clearly had been open”

“Such a beautiful property and host. The building is spectacular and romantic. The garden breakfast setting is peaceful. Guilietta was incredibly helpful. Would love to return one day. Highly recommend if you’re in to romantic historic buildings and exceptional hosts.”

“I was a bit disappointed with the property as I found it quite simple and not nicely furnished. The week before I spent the same amount of money per night in a double room with a private bathroom at a 3* hotel at Lago di Como including a full service breakfast. Afterwards I stayed at private studio that was carefully decorated and had a kitchenette fir the same price. At La Magnolia the furniture was plain snd outdated. It appeared as if the owners had reused their children’s furniture from the……

“We felt the warm hospitality of our hosts. They were helpful with navigating us to interesting sites in Lucca and suggest more scenic towns to visit. Our room was outstanding an we were very comfortable. The spa was a plus. The B&B is fitted with state of the art access control and we were free to access the common areas if needed. We recommend this B&B for great value and hospitality.”

“A very unforgettable Lucca B&B.The location is only 15 minutes' walk from the old city.The accommodation is an old-fashioned villa with three floors, with its own independent yard and parking space.Breakfast here is also very rich, comparable to a 3-star hotel, but please don't forget that the price here is less than one third of that of the hotel.In short, this B&B has given me a lot of surprises, and I will choose to live here if I come to Lucca again next time.”
