“A beautiful location on the slopes of Rincon de la Vieja, Borinquen Thermal Resort is a treat in the heart of the Guanacaste region of Costa Rica. From the finely appointed rooms to the spacious, lush grounds, to the superb restaurants, this resort stay was one-of-a-kind. Staff was friendly, helpful, and good at their jobs. The pool (with swim up bar) and the natural thermal-fed hot pools were both relaxing and invigorating. The food and drinks were terrific any time of day and served by genial……

“The location is beautiful, and off of the main road, so there isn’t any road traffic sound… unlike some nearby lodges that cost more. The staff is friendly, and they did my laundry on the same day, without an extra charge… The food is good and different from surrounding lodges in the fact that they also have Italian food, in addition to the wonderful Costa Rican fare. Abundant, luxuriously, foliated, gardens, full of flowers and birds… repeat with birdfeeders attracting some for close……

“Great place. We had a wonderful time at this awesome, family owned/operated hotel. We had an incredible dinner off their special Christmas menu - prepared by the owned and served by his wife and nephew. The rooms were rustic, but very clean and comfortable. We would come back again!”

Uncle gave us a free night tour in his garden which was really sweet and informative. Loved the breakfast aunty prepared. Only drawback is the road to property is broken however nothing can match to the great hospitality! Food choices were broad enough that everyone found something they liked restaurant and bar on the grounds and the adventure tours were super fun! Our adult kids had a great time!”
