ShockingPosted Jun 1, 2015 on Hotels
They made a Bon fire next to our wooden bungalow. They were rude about the incident and when asked why they would do such a thing. Response was; its only leaves it's ok to breathe, we only did because you were out, we couldn't do it anywhere as due to there being guests around

Unique Adventure!Posted May 29, 2015 on Hotels
Quiet and cute place to stay and off the beaten path! A cooler provides beverages 24-7 and the food menu is limited and only on weekdays. Downside was there was no paddleboards and not a great place for snorkeling. Be willing to bike to anything close to the hotel and everything closes mid day and on Sundays if open at all!

A beautiful place that feels like homePosted May 27, 2015 on Hotels
I stayed here recently and cannot recommend Linareva highly enough. The owners and staff were wonderfully friendly and did all they could enough to ensure the stay was memorable and enjoyable. Arriving from a large, impersonal resort to this piece of paradise was just like coming home....if home had spectacular views of a beautiful lagoon and waves breaking on a reef in the distance, friendly hosts and guests, tropical fish, peace and nurse sharks. I was in the beachfront suite, which was completely perfect. Six or so steps to the beach from the patio furniture with a view which has to be seen to be believed. Inside, the ensuite rain shower was bliss, the bed was incredibly comfortable and the air conditioning was in fine form and worked beautifully. The kitchen had everything anyone would need to cook for themselves, however if you're not in the mood to cook, I have it on great authority that the food served at Linareva is divine. Alternatively, if you have a car, there are some fantastic restaurants nearby which Roland will point you to. At night, the sound of the waves breaking on the reef lulled me off to sleep. I invested hours just staring at the view, and could happily have done so for a long time. Tranquil and peaceful this is my new soul spot and the place I will return to again and again. Tip: Take a kayak or the outrigger out to the reef if you get a chance, the sight and sound is a delight to the senses.

Paradise!!Posted May 10, 2015
Prior to my arrival, I received an e-mail from Sophie(Linareva staff) confirming my reservation and extending their welcome. She set up my transfers to and from the airport and answered questions I had. Upon arrival, my husband and I were given a tour of the grounds. The staff are wonderful, seeing to your every need. Roland is very friendly, charming and funny. We stayed in the honeymoon bungalow, which I recommend. We had all our meals on the premises. They were delicious! Whether looking out at the water or sitting on the deck looking back at the property, the setting is post card perfect! We were looking for a more "island authentic" lodging choice, and we found the perfect location at Linavera!!

Nice residence hotel on the beachPosted May 3, 2015
Pros: Everything! Next time, if there is a next time, we would probably rent a car.
Cons: Supply kitchenettes with basics like salt, pepper, sugar packets, tea bags, small coffee bags,
Location: Located away from everything. You can book things to do at the office. Nothing is very far away since you can drive around island in 2 hours.
Very relaxed, casual residence. It is quiet, friendly, away from hustle & bustle, non-commercial atmosphere. It is not fancy but lovely cottage-type place to stay. Absolutely loved walking to end of jetty to watch sharks(harmless) & tropical fish. Kayaking & snorkeling were enjoyable. Grocery store is 1-1/2 mi away to get supplies for kitchenette. Nearby food truck & pizzeria(little further & very authentic) had very good food at reasonable prices. This was a wonderful, relaxing way to end our 6 weeks of busy travel.

Nice place, right on the beach, close to good foodPosted Apr 19, 2015
Pros: The staff and the location.
Cons: The only thing that detracted from our stay was a couple mornings, the roosters were really overdoing it .. but that just seems to be a part of Moorea
Location: The Mayflower restaurant (best Mahi Mahi I have ever had) was not far (we rented a car for the week), and the Lagoonarium is a must
We booked the smaller bungalow, which turned out to be closer to the road than we liked, but we talked to the office staff (Melanie was great!) and they had another open suite, so we were able to upgrade at a great deal ... saved our trip (20th wedding anniversary). The other guests (one staying for 2 months) were delightful. There is a nice "food truck" next door, Daniel's Pizza is about a 2 minute walk and a couple stores ("Magasin") within walking distance (maybe a 20 minute walk). The snorkeling here is great .. very live coral with a variety of fish, and with 1-5 nurse sharks typically hanging around at the end of the dock. The "second reef" is just a few minutes paddle by kayak (sit on top kind, one or two person - provided by the hotel) and is amazing ... you can just kayak over all the coral and fish, or dump out and get a closer look, where the depth allows.

They could have killed us!!!Posted Apr 10, 2015 on Hotels
They made a bonfire outside the wooden bungalow we stayed in and were forced to vacate the hotel in the middle of our stay and late at night.. There response to the situation I that it was just garden waste... The didn't even refund us for the remaining three nights.. Absolutely shocking!!!!

Le calme au milieu d'un site exceptionnel.Posted Apr 8, 2015 on Hotels
