"Great location and accommodating staff"
Overall it was a great experience during our 3 day stay in Busan. The hotel was clean and beautiful. The hotel pool was not open due to renovation, so we were disappointed about not taking advantage of the pool facility. We had mechanical issues with the toilet but maintenance and housekeeping handled the emergency professionally and swiftly. The only negative was our leave from the hotel. Front desk called 2 taxi cabs to take us to the train station. The first cab arrived at the destination 10 minutes before the second cab eventhough they both left at the same time. The second cab took the long route to get a higher cab fee (+5,000 won). There were 2 high school aged students and a mother in the cab, neither of them spoke Korean. Needless to say, we ended this mini vacation with a bad taste in our mouth. That's why Korean taxi cab drivers have a bad reputation. Be cautious!

"Across the street from haeundae beach"
I have stayed at the Sunset hotel 4 times over 3 years. I always book a suite room to get a larger room. My rooms have always included breakfast but 2 of the 4 times the hotel staff told me it was not included until I produced the Expedia reservation printout and yelled at them. Even when you book a suite, the hotel keeps the best rooms for Korean travelers. This trip, they tried to give me an executive suite on floor 11 that looked out at a grey sign. Hotel has at least 6 executive suites 3 with balcony's (actually 4 as the 15th floor one has a small balcony) and 3 with hot tubs in room instead. They told me no other suites were available but I yelled at them and threw a few things on the counter at the clerk until the manager came out and then I yelled at him and threw a few things until they gave me a executive suite (not an upgrade this is what I paid for) on floor 13. I later found out there was another on 15 with a balcony that was open and also several of the hot-tub executive suites but they only give those to Koreans. Hotel has 2 main elevators but really 3 because you can use the service elevator and waits were not long. Room was mostly clean and modern. Breakfast is decent buffet style, mix of Korean and western foods. If going to beach, note the difficult to find footwash area at ground level of hotel building. At beach 2 chairs, an umbrella and tube rented for around $30 per day. Many nearby restaurants and you can walk to the Bay 101 Yacht Club

"Decent Haeundae Stay"
It is definitely worth paying extra for the beach view rooms. The interiors of the hotel room are somewhat dated and worn, to be honest, but comfortable and suitable for folks who will spend most of the day out. The view is excellent and there is really great food vendors in a nearby alley. It's about 3 blocks from a metro station but there's a bus stop across the street (and taxis everywhere). The hotel breakfast is quite good, and the amenities in the hotel are excellent (including lots of great live music) but expect to pay more for everything because of where it is.

"Nice but Noisy!"
Too noisy outside on nearby beach to open door for fresh air/breeze. Screaming young people playing fun games and electric piano player disrupted rest hours and sleep each night until dawn.

It's a decent hotel. Changing elevators to get up to the roon is awkward but you get used to it.

"Nice hotel steps from Haundae beach"
Nice hotel. Close to the beach. Difficult to find as it is in a tall office type building. Staff very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Close to bus and coffe shops and restaurants. Metro nearby. Would stay here again.
