"This small, family run hotel is well situated for exploring Cat Ba town on foot. The room was spacious but basic. The AC and fans worked well cooling the room. Rooms at the front are noisy from the Main Street. My room at the back was quieter with only noise coming from the kids in the school next door. "The overall area of the guesthouse is quite large, they have two dining areas (though only one was used) and a small manmade pond with seating area around it. Lots of plants and greenary, so we were excited to get to our room thinking it would be warm and welcoming as well... which it wasn't really unfortunately. "There were cockroaches in the restaurant, which I guess is ok since it is an island the the restaurant in outside. But there were also cockroaches in the dorm room. There were rats on the roof that would make a lot of noise at night. The breakfast was pretty good though and the view from the breakfast restaurant was amazing! "
