“Property had not received our booking but luckily they had availability. Room was clean, staff were lovely and well meaning but we were given wrong information about breakfast. Don’t stay there on a Monday night- no dining options open and you have to go into town (the Mexican restaurant in McRae has average food but the biggest beer we’ve ever had) We were told they served breakfast on a Tuesday morning but discovered that was closed too so another trip back into town (found a family diner……

“The cottage was great! Very clean and homey. The only thing that could be better are the mattresses, they were not comfortable at all. But overall my stay was excellent!”

“House was pretty, secluded, spacious. Bathroom setup was strange, like it wasn't thought out at all. Dim lighting in kitchen, many light switches didn't seem to work. Would've been a great place to stay except for the cockroach infestation in the kitchen. At first, i thought there were only a few, but i sprayed the cabinets down with the can of roach spray i found and when i came back there were dead roaches all over the floor. No way i was sleeping in that house at that point. Owner wanted to……

“The only issue I had, the front door needs to be sealed. There is air gaps all the way around. There was a lot of road / work noise. Honestly, other than these few things, I’d recommend to anyone. It was a nice remodel, felt like a little lake house and loved it”
