"Exceptionally clean and comfy room, fresh bedding and towels available.
Perfect location on the river, by the train station with just a 5 minute walk to the city centre.
We stayed in room 1 and had a lovely view of the river on the morning, hotel was quiet, warm and comfortable.
Martyn assisted with great communication telling us everything we needed to know prior to getting to the guest house, check in and check out was simple and easy.

"Great accommodation and host. Close to great pubs. Bit dark at night when you park and have to walk to front door at night but otherwise definitely recommend "

"Nice little B&B within walking distance to the city centre.
This was a convenient location with onsite parking available.
The room was spacious and comfortable for the most part although our bed was very creaky so maybe the mattress or base needs replacing.
Shower was excellent and the breakfast was good, recommended!"

"Quite simply a very good hotel. Well located for rail station and then the city centre and thereabouts easily accessible on foot.
Reception was good, breakfast had a great selection of the usual stuff plus a hot food menu option. Room was well equipped and clean. Went for the club deluxe option which did not disappoint. Happy to recommend. "
"Lovely hotel, great reception and room service staff. Friendly and very helpful. We had a king size courtyard room which was clean and had a fridge and kettle. Bed was comfortable and shower worked well. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that. Parking available at hotel but limited or car park at the Mount School which always had spaces. The walk into York took about 25 minutes. Only small criticism was the bar ran out of drinks including sauvignon white wine. Other than that would definitely come and stay again."
"Lovely people who make you feel very welcome all exceptional with exception of young lady on reception who twice have us directions for the car which tripled the distance and walk unnecessarily. "
