From Hermon, the well-known city of Cape Town is approximately 45 miles (72 kilometers) to the southwest.
It's hardly surprising Hermon is so popular with with international and local vacationers alike; the region is dotted with wonderful cities, attractions and landscapes. Paarl and Ceres are two other places worth seeing while you're in Western Cape.
Stellenbosch is 35 miles (56 kilometers) from Hermon. This regional center offers a number of interesting tourist attractions, including Vredenheim Estate, Zorgvliet Estate and Bartinney Wine Estates. Skilpadvlei Winery, Stellenbosch Golf Club and Camberley Wine Farm are also good places to spend some time.
There's no nicer way to get to the heart of Western Cape than trying the food from the region. Karoo lamb and venison are some of the signature ingredients. You will notice locals relaxing over a glass or two of Aardwolf; it's one of the favorite drinks in Western Cape. Sample a Pinotage or Sauvignon Blanc. Both of these delicious. To enjoy with a meal.
The 30th of November is St Andrews Day, so if you're visiting at this time, be aware that some attractions may have changed opening hours as the nation celebrates.
Grab your camera, pack your bags and head off to this spectacularly beautiful spot.
