Holmhead Vacations from $771

Because there are 3 hotels wedged into a 1/2 block area, there were parking restrictions that included directly in front of rooms on one side. I also encountered a couple problems during my visit. The TV would not access any channels from the “Channel Guide”. I had to have someone come to the room to show me the right way, the work-around, to actually pull a channel up to play. I also had a problem getting back into the room after getting a bucket of ice because some metal bracket/brace from an old door lock device kept the door from opening more than 1 inch. I had to go to the desk and get someone to come up with a homemade metal flat scraper/spatula tool with a notched carve out to try to dislodge the bracket and open the door. The fact that they have such a tool shows that this is a recurring problem which needs to be corrected in every room.

Beds were pretty uncomfortable and we couldn’t get the a/c cool enough but other than that your hotel is beautiful and close to everything!

The property was much larger than expected and included a lake. Our cabin was tucked in the woods off of a one lane paved road, with good parking spaces. We had a few mosquitoes in our cabin, and also a spider that stayed in its upper corner of the bathroom. The beds and pillows in our two bedroom cabin were very comfortable. Most of the channels on the TV were a little out of focus and we were unable to mirror our phones on the TV, even through we had property internet connected. The breakfast in the main lodge was good and reasonably priced. Prices in the General Store were very reasonable compared to typical resorts. Looking forward to another stay at a future date.
