Amazing Oceanview 1-Bdrm/1-Bath Maui at Papakea Kaanapali - No Resort Fee

Let the sound of the surf lull you to sleep and wake up in paradise! This spectacular second floor oceanview unit features breathtaking views of the island of Molokai from the lanai. Our condo is only steps from the water's edge and offers direct access to world-famous Kaanapali Beach. Enjoy beautiful sunsets each night or your morning cup of Kona coffee from your private lanai. Watch cruise ships sailing to nearby Lahaina and the distant evening lights on Molokai. Our lovely home-away-from-home is in great condition and it faces north so it stays nice and cool throughout the entire day. The location of my unit in building K keeps it very quiet. It sleeps four to five with a king-size bed in the master, and a queen-size sofa sleeper in the living room. STATE OF HAWAII TAX ID NUMBER: W54026201-01 TRANSIENT ACCOMMODATIONS TAX REGISTRATION and GENERAL EXCISE TAX LICENSE. The unit provides all the conveniences of home with a washer/dryer, air conditioning with ceiling fans, two flat screen TV's, complimentary wire-less internet, and ample parking. We request that guests honor Papakea's non-smoking policy. There are designated smoking areas throughout the complex. There are also elevators in each building, and the property is handicap friendly.
Papakea Resort is a four story, oceanfront, condominium complex located between Kaanapali and Kapalua. It is situated on 13 Beautiful Tropical Acres with swaying palm trees, freshwater Koi ponds, fragrant tropical flowers and Tiki Torches illuminating the walkways during the evenings. Also located on the grounds are two swimming pools (Lanai pool is heated), 2 large Jacuzzi's, multiple gas BBQ's located by the pools, 2 meticulously groomed putting greens, 2 shuffleboard courts and 3 lighted tennis courts. Don't forget to take pictures, you'll see some of Maui's most stunning sunsets with unobstructed panoramic views. During the Winter and Spring months also enjoy oceanfront viewing of the migrating humpback whales.
This property is located in between Ka'anapali and Kapalua and is just minutes away from downtown Lahaina. Walking distance to the grocery store! Close to ocean activities, shopping, restaurants, golf, and much more! There is a friendly concierge who can arrange island activities: luaus, whale watching tours in season, sailing, snorkeling trips, golf, biking down the volcano, and so much more.

Perfect Hawaiian stop

Great location with spectacular views overlooking the pool and 12 hole putting green!Wonderful brand new Weber grills (5) located around the pool deck.Will definitely stay here again should we be fortunate enough to visit Maui again!

Great place!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. The view from the lanai was perfect. It was also so convenient that the condo was equipped with beach chairs, coolers, snorkel gear, and boogie boards. The Papakea property was beautiful and so close to great food places and a food trucks. I definitely recommend this condo!

The location, rental, and amenities were fantastic.

We had a fabulous experience renting the property and everything was amazing. My only complaint was that I did not know how to use the condenser dryer.

Great, responsive owners!

The owners were very responsive to anything needed. The property is in a great location with amazing view and they have everything you need for your stay, including boogie boards, beach towels, a cart for your gear, and all the dishes and cookware you'll need. The bed is comfortable and the lanai is phenomenal!

Gorgeous views and perfect location

We were impressed from the time we checked in. Everyone extremely friendly and helpful. The room was exactly as the pictures show. But the view from the balcony is even more beautiful than the pictures. I would always stay in this resort if possible. The location is very good and easy to find. The amenities are fantastic. What a beautiful view and excellent location within the Papakea property. The owners have considered all of the extra details needed to make your stay comfortable along with snorkel equipment, boogie boards, etc to have fun during the day. We're so happy that we found this condo and we hope to return one day. Thank you to the owners for making the whole rental process easy and no hidden surprises.

Breathtaking and Cozy at its Finest

If I could give 10 stars, I would. The location was perfect and was close to many places for shopping/eating. We were not far from several of our, now, favorite beaches. The condo itself was very clean, the bed super comfortable, and the view was breathtaking! The hosts definitely put a lot of effort in making sure we were well equipped with beach going supplies and cleaning supplies for doing laundry and dishes. Will definitely be staying here again!

Loved this place!

Lovely view of grounds, pool, ocean and Molokai in the distance! Condo had everything we needed and we loved sitting on the lanai with our Kona coffee in the morning. Enjoyed some fresh tuna cooked on the well-maintained grills. Walked down the beach to Kaanapali and took the beach chairs in the unit to DT Fleming beach to swim and watch the surfers. Leslie and Eric were quick to respond to any questions, great hosts. Highly recommend and looking forward to going back!

Gorgeous View!!

My family of 4 recently stayed in this condo and it is even prettier in person! The view is amazing, and closer than it looks in the photos. The condo was fully stocked including spices, beach towels, and snorkel gear. The bed was comfortable, too! We used the a/c at night, and kept the fan on in the bedroom. Stop looking at any other condo. this is the one you want!!

Very lovely property and amazing views from the room!

We had a great time at Papakea in this condo! It was nice and cozy and had everything we needed with the full kitchen and the bed was quite comfortable. We were very happy with the amazing view from the lanai! The grounds are very well kept, and the two pools and hot tubs are also very well maintained. It has plenty of parking near the unit, and is close to nearby restaurants and shopping, beaches and other outdoor activities. Although there were only two of us, it was nice to have the bedroom as opposed to just a studio to keep things separate and organized. We highly recommend and will definitely return!

ABC store

The ABC store is a one minute walk, very convenient. The view on the balcony is mostly blocked by the plumeria tree so that was disappointing. You can not walk out to a beach off the property and even down the path not much of a beach. We spent most of our time at another beach. It was very nice to have a lot of beach toys available in the unit. The property is very pretty with lots of mature trees.

It's all about the location and the view...and, oh yes, the view.

The unit is very dated, compared to other units we saw in the complex, but still very clean with everything working...but oh, the view! But if the unit was updated to today's standards the rental price would have been undoubtedly more. So, we'll take dated and clean with everything working in the unit just fine with that view! Worth every penny! Oh, and did I mention the view?

The resort itself is in a prime location. You are literally minutes away from world-class snorkeling beaches, restaurants, local shops and farmer markets. The suite is spacious for a family of 4 (one private bedroom and one sofa pullout). You can walk to the beach right outside your unit. The unit has a full kitchen with glassware and cookware. Enjoy ocean views from your lanai. There are elevators for those who cannot climb stairs. There is adequate parking, resort activities and tennis courts. The only downside was the dryer kept stopping on its own and some of the swimming gear was broken (snorkel clip and fin strap). Didn't ruin the stay though!

Beautiful view, but…

Location, grounds, and view were wonderful! The unit itself was very much in need of updating and deep cleaning! Bedroom fan had a thick layer of dust on it, batteries needed replacing in air conditioner remote, tv remote and wall clock and air conditioner filter needed cleaning. Dead lei was hanging off dining room lamp and doors and cabinets very dingy/dirty. Couch appeared soiled and we immediately covered it with a sheet. A deep cleaning and upgrade definitely recommended! Having said that, we enjoyed the view and location very much!

Great location close to best Maui beaches

We stayed here for a week with 3 kids and it was a great location and very convenient. The best Maui area beaches are really close like Kaplalua and Napili Bay. There are great walking paths you can take from the condo and walk to Alii Kahekili beach which I think was the best for snorkeling!!! There is a grocery store, ABC store, fish market and boss frog swim and diving rental place to rent body boards snorkeling equipment and more..your also close to the town of Lahaina which is a really neat city with a lot of local shops and restaurants. The condo unit was very clean, quiet and having a pool and hot tub was great for the kids in the evenings.. Also having a full kitchen was nice so we could make some meals there and save time and money ..The sunsets are amazing and you can see it from the condo balcony. Parking is very convenient and is right in front of the condo,1 minute walk from the car to the condo !! Overall I would definitely recommend staying here!!!! You will spend less time driving to the best beaches and more time swimming and snorkeling..

Hawaiian Heaven!

My husband and I came back to Maui after 25 years. We loved this peaceful condo. The views are beautiful with the pool and hot tub steps away. We enjoyed coffee and sometimes breakfast on the Lanai. Other times we enjoyed breakfast at 'Slappy Cakes' across the street. My husband loved the Eggs Benedict and I love the caramelized macadamia nut bacon! The only way to express our trip would be to say it was magical. The king bed in the condo was very comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. There was snorkeling gear, boogie boards and a sand chair with umbrella provided. Loved sitting in the hot tub while my hubby made me steaks on the grill. The resort upkeep was great and the staff were super friendly. The only ' suggestion' we would have would be to get a bigger TV for the family room. We rarely turned it on but my husband loves those football games. lol. We made sandwiches for the beaches and my husband boogie boarded Kaanapali beaches down the way. Loved all the ocean view sunsets and the trips to town in Lahaina. Our favorite excursions were booked at Papakea. We did the snorkeling catamaran trip on Ocean Voyager, which was awesome. And we flew the Blue Hawaiin Helicopter ride with Cap'n Mike. We wil be back. The condo felt like home. Thanks Leslie an Eric for your quick responses to questions. Mahalo!!
