"I recently stayed at the Shirley Retreat Hotel in Jamaica and had a truly wonderful experience. Check-in and check-out were both quick and easy, which made the entire stay feel smooth from start to finish. My room was spotless, the bathroom was very clean, the sheets were crisp and fresh, and the King bed was incredibly comfortable. The staff added even more to the stay. The security guard at night, Patrick, and another gentleman who worked during the day were always present on the property and consistently kind in every interaction. Their warm and attentive presence made me feel safe and welcomed throughout my stay. Breakfast each morning was very good and filling, and overall the property is perfect for a quick trip. While it doesn’t have the typical hotel amenities like a bar or pool, it provides exactly what you need if you’re in Kingston to rest and recharge for the next day. They also clean the room daily with fresh sheets and towels. I was extremely pleased with my stay and definitely plan to return in the future. The cost to stay here was at least 60% less than the major hotels in the area like the S Hotel, AC Hotel and R Hotel. The Shirley Retreat Hotel exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kingston."

"Yes the room was very clean the staff was amazing and it show that the owner is on top of is biz it was a hurricane and they where prepared we had light hot water they told us the ac will not work so they gave us fan which did a great job it my go to spot whenever am in Portland love the pool the property clean lots of beautiful fords beautiful sea views amazing staff thank you to all the staff we appreciate you awesome service and I have to also big up the chef’s because the food was really good "

"elp not to offer services like the spa unless they’re actually available, or at least post when they are and how much notice is needed. The food was decent, but it would be nice to have a little more variety or different options each day. Some of the servers could also use a bit of basic training — for example, my coffee had some grounds in it and came without milk, the toast arrived but no butter or jam, and the juice glass was barely half full. Just a few small improvements like these would make a big difference in the overall experience."

"It was more so a lay over stop until a suitable time to drive to St. Ann. Place is clean, good service, and the staff is friendly. There is bar/restaurant upstairs, and enjoyed their breakfast. The hotel is located on a main and not far from landmarks."
