Loved that Derby Inn was pet friendly, clean and secure. Also the fact that it was close to Oaklawn and Bathhouse row as well as central to pretty much everything Hot Springs has to offer. I would definitely stay here again.

Easy self check in. Fence inclosed parking lot for security. Room was comfortable, clean, and visually pleasing. Would definitely stay again! Room could use a cozy chair and the bathroom has no light over the vanity so it was very hard to see well enough to put on make up. Room had a nice little kitchenette but no pots, dishes, or silverware so we were unable to make use of the area.

Stayed solo in a basic room for a June conference at Oaklawn Park. Within walking distance of Oaklawn Park and Waffle House. Conveniently located on Central Avenue/Highway 7, a short distance from downtown (North), and shops, stores and the 70 Bypass/ MLK Expressway (South). Newer facility with everything in the room being new, clean and in working order, and it is a gated facility with a gate code for entry into the inn grounds and a room code for entry into the room. The wall unit blew cold A/C, hot shower with high water pressure, oversized flat screen tv, comfortable king size bed, and apartment-sized refrigerator/freezer. Decent sized microwave. Snacks in the room were a plus and the bedside lamps on nice nightstands were touch lamps with USB C & A ports. Staff always answered the phone the few times I called with questions. Parked right in front of the room with easy and quick transport of belongings into the room. Well lighted facility; I didn’t lack for anything I needed during my stay. I have stayed in several hotels over many years in Hot Springs and rate this one as an excellent value, a true gem that should rise in popularity over time.

Loved the fact that the owner was on site the first morning we were there to welcome us and to see if he could do anything for us. It is an old hotel that they have made considerable improvements on. We felt safe and it was very convenient to the track(walkable) We will stay here again.

The Derby Inn was Fantastic! Rustic getaway smack in the middle of Central Ave. Short walk to Oaklawn racing/casino and of course the historic Rocky's corner! Very cozy, extremely clean, bed super comfy, and the TV is HUGE along with Fireplace, really sets the atmosphere for relaxation right in the middle of the city. Check in was very smooth and nice to have gated area with contactless entry - no key or card to carry around was very nice. Staff (which is onsite during the day) is SUPER Friendly and helpful! Stayed in the King Rustic and I can't say enough about how cozy and comfy this place is. Will definitely stay here again!

This place is less than a mile from the big casino, which was very convenient as we wanted to try our luck. The back parking lot is older and not attended and I wasn't sure if this was part of the place. The Derby Inn is gated so we felt secure there. The room was lovely and the small amenities they gave were great. We called ahead of time to see if we could get an earlier check in time and the staff were very accommodating. In fact, if you book through Expedia or some other website it would be good to call ahead. They have no information other than your name, so I was glad that I called. We never had a contactless check in before, but with them having my direct email and talking with them ahead of time, it made the process easy overall, as there is an APP that gives that information to you. They have a small Kuerig for coffee and a pot to heat water for tea and provide the items for your use (coffee pods, sugar/creamer packets, cups, tea), which was very nice. There is a microwave and small fridge. The bathroom is small but with just me and hubby, it was ok, but there is not a lot of cabinet space there to spread out your hygiene products, and the plug is at the light switch if you need to shave or blow dry your hair, and one small trashcan, so be aware of that. That's the only reason I gave this a four, but the staff over the phone was awesome.

Newly remodeled and very nice and clean. I wish there was a clothes rack/rod of some sort to hang my clothes, as we were in Hot Springs for a funeral and had dressy clothes that needed to be hung. It also would have been nice to have had an iron and ironing board, but I don't think the rooms come equipped with those. We received so many different emails with gate and room codes that it was a bit confusing. Overall, we were happy with the room as it was very clean, which is what it most important to me.

It was ok, price was high but it was derby weekend. If you had to walk to Oaklawn you could. Room was nice. Quality of bath products low, bring your own.
