Positive things: let us check in early, location was good. The living area has a lot of seating. Negative: water roaches, no hand soap, very little TP, master bedroom and 1 bedroom downstairs doesn’t have working light fixtures, and no lamp in the master we brought a lamp from the living room but the bulb was burned out. We had a wedding so we needed adequate light to get ready. The house looks like it’s been neglected pretty bad. It needs a lot of love! Don’t try to cook, very little in the kitchen. The beds aren’t comfortable, they have egg crates on the mattresses, it’s not a college dorm and we aren’t teenagers. The pipes in the downstairs bathroom rumble so loud it sounds horrible. The linens are old and musty smelling. They weren’t any upstairs at all when we arrived we searched and found them downstairs. There are only 4 wobbly stools in the dining area for a house that advertises it sleeps 10! Owner not very responsive, sent the wrong check in instructions, which is ok. But I called no answer, I texted 2 times no reply, I emailed no response. Called VRBO, finally get a response. We all get busy and have lives but I’d you have someone checking in you should be paying attention. The house could be GREAT! And no I did not try to contact the owner again, I had a wedding to finalize and didn’t have time to deal with it!

Oaklawn fun
Great location near the track. Within walking distance and we did walk one day. Second year our group has stayed at this house. Lot of upgrades to the house since last year. Very nice entertaining area in the back yard that we didnt realize was there prior to check in this year. We had a great time out there.

The house has very suitable furnishings. The house had ample space for our group of 7 people. I understood that the outdoor kitchen was under construction but I was unaware that the house itself was in need of some completed projects. I will email the owners to discuss this further. Thank you

Great Location and Property
The property was great. The location was perfect for the horse races. All the rooms were comfortable and updated. The addition in the back looks like it's going to be a great addition once it's finished. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful updates
Older house with beautiful renovations. Plenty of sleeping areas. Was a little dusty do to ongoing construction. The outdoor kitchen is going to be beautiful when finished. Walking distance to Oaklawn track. Parking is tight. It is across the street from a school and about 7 o’clock they play loud up beat music

Our stay was great, we encountered a few problems that should have been fixed prior to being rented. The communication from the property manager was prolonged and she was not apologetic and offered no way of resolving the situation. Customer service is essential when running a business.

Oaklawn oasis
We were in town for Derby day and this cute and cozy home was absolutely perfect. We are excited for the renovations to be complete in the back yard so we can come back to enjoy that too!
