We love this hotel so it’s sad to see it not having all the comforts you get use to after staying here for over 5 years when we visit the lake. Rooms still nice, beds comfy, staff friendly and sunsets views can’t be beat. There was a small fridge & microwave in the room. The hot tub and pool were currently not heated which did make the stay less enjoyable. As well, I could not see any light to keep the sauna from being pitch black once the door was closed, so I couldn’t close the door and determine if the sauna was enjoyable either. Also, the sink in our room was clogged, we had to switch rooms for the second night. They cut back on things like breakfast, no more waffle maker just cereal and a muffin. The hot tub heater was not working but when checking in the front desk told me happily that her sauna and hot tub closed at 10pm, nothing said about it not working. Sad when good places we love make cheap cutbacks that affect the overall experience of ur stay. Room was redone with slat wood floors- nice. Bed comfy. Bathroom small. Pool and hot tub area clean and nice. Hot tub was nice pool water cool. Had big overhead doors that were opened so some bugs in water but you could tell they kept on top of it. Dory at front desk very nice! Continental breakfast enough-cereal, pastries, toast etc. yogurt and hard boiled eggs, juice. Nice outside area to sit. Sits above highway but not noisy. About 6 miles outside Mountain Home. The staff are all very friendly, we rented 4 rooms for our family. Where the problem is, the stairwells are all filthy. The tile in the hot tub couldn’t be nastier/dirtier. The side walk in front of the rooms is disgustingly dirty.
