Started our stay out ok, the staff was friendly and accommodating. The sign for the front of the hotel was just a vinyl banner strung up across the archway, how does a hotel that has been open for this long not have an actual hotel sign on the structure.
The pool was apparently closed for cleaning and was supposed to open at 5pm, we waited and eventually they got it opened after we asked (about 530pm). Big mistake though as our son got an ear infection literally the next day from the “freshly cleaned pool.”
The carpet in our room had several spots that were very sticky, you couldn’t walk around without shoes on comfortably. That night when showering the tub drained very slowly, leaving about 2 inches of water in the bottom of the tub throughout the whole shower (probably the most unsettling feeling you can have while showering in a hotel)… This surely would have been noticed in the last cleaning and it just wasn’t noted or addressed.
The continental breakfast in the morning wasn’t terrible, very mediocre and as long as you’re not expecting anything “good,” then you won’t be disappointed. We only stayed one night, thankfully. And as long as you’re not gonna use the pool (previous review I saw about a kid getting pink eye, and my son getting an ear infection), should have been a warning sign for me.
Overall, the staff was very friendly, so good on them for that! But I would not stay in this hotel again, I’ll pay extra $ for the supposed “frills” the other hotels offer.
