Pretty nice and confortable room, but It needs maintenance, some things look old and deteriorated. The service can improve, we had to make our check out and the recepcionist never arrieved, and no one could help us (we just had to leave the key of our room in the reception, because we could miss oir train).

Not so close and a bit runned down
"Bed was too small and extremely hard. I was greeted by a wonderful helpful lady called Maya and thanks to her the stay was a bit more pleasant, but hotel is very runned down and noisy."

"Excellent property, fabulous breakfast in great location. Clean modern rooms. Off road parking. About 15 mins walk into town down quiet lane. A bit uphill on way back. No bar at hotel but there is a fridge in lounge for your own drinks should you need to. Nice friendly staff. Great place to ..."

"A lovely old building in a beautiful setting with views of Derwentwater and the mountains. The staff very friendly and efficient. We have stayed here several times and will again in the future.The dog was welcome too!"
