![we booked a one week holiday early September in Imperia, I would say perfect place to relax. not very beautiful the city itself as quite industrial but the beach (stony one) it not crowded at all so you don't have to fight a place to lay on. food was super excellent as well. you have a lot of possibilities to make mini road trips around both in Italy & France.
