Small, older property, but has been updated in bathrooms at least. Floors creak a bit was only odd thing. Small room, but serves purpose ofva spit to sleep. Right on main highway, so bit of traffic noise. Owner/manager was very helpful, and a pleasure to talk with. Spent fair amount of time swapping stories of northern Canada (where I had just been riding motorbike at.) Pizza place few buildings down has great food. Cheap, simple, usable room for a nights rest.

We stayed one night at the Royal Hotel and it served the purpose well. The room was clean . There was a fridge but no microwave. Our room was on the second floor which was good as there is only one small elevator. We used the stairs. However there was no view from our window as it was completely obstructed by the building itself. Highlight was the breakfast as there were many options and a large seating space. However items like breads, bagels and French toast were kept in there original bags and people were reaching in with their hands rather than the tongs provided. The area has everything within walking distance and the location offere quick and easy access back to Hwy 1.
