We enjoyed our stay, would recommend signage for check in, not just restaurant. The Inn was clean, quiet, and filled our needs. We enjoyed the history of the building. We had dinner on the porch the lake view was spectacular and our server was fantastic. Very walkable.to town.

Loved the Woods Inn in Inlet, NY. The property is right on 4th Lake. There are chairs, a deck, and gazebo on the lake. People sat by the lake in the evening to watch the sun set. You can leave your car in the parking lot and walk through the town of Inlet. The Inn is absolutely charming, with historical items in the living room. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast is included. We will definitely return.

A beautiful Adirondack Inn that has apparently re-opened recently. Superb setting right on the lake with plenty of space and waterfront. Restaurant and staff are a bit thin in terms of offering and experience but the people were super nice and helpful. I hope it rallies back to big popularity. I loved it.

The location really makes the property. Incredible lakefront on Forth Lake. It’s an older building so no refrigerator or microwave in your room limited air-conditioning. Fans were provided. The lake breeze really made it pleasant. I had dinner two nights on the porch. The food was fabulous.

The property is located on a unique piece of land. The "backyard" area opens up to the lake and it is very peaceful to sit there and watch the sunset. So, A+ there. In July of 2026 they are doing construction on the restaurant. I'm glad to see this place get some needed TLC in the form of capital investment. The downside is there is no breakfast or anything like that. There is a coffee shop within walking distance that has breakfast items. In the morning, there is a line out the door. Super popular place. I can't recall the name of it,but it shouldn't be hard to find. The biggest downside here is that all the rooms are on the upper floors and there is zero AC. Also, no elevator or anything to help you schlepp your bags up the steep circa late 19th century staircase (not the typical 7x11 risexrun that became standardized since WWII). We were there in July and it was only mid 70s in the day and upper 50s in the night and our room was sweltering. If they ever add AC, I'd go back. If not, then not. At least not in July.

Upon arriving I was surprised to find the Inn in a state of need. The young man who checked us in was super friendly & offered to help with our bags. Our room was exactly as described & pictured online. It was cozy and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean & towels were available. I thoroughly enjoyed the balcony - it was a great reading spot and I soaked up the early morning sounds out there. The Adirondack chairs on the lawn are very inviting and the view is exceptional. Check in/check out we’re really easy online, but the personal touch at the door was warm and welcoming. First thing to understand: this is a historic building. It’s very old and so the floors and the stairs creak, the doors make some noise when being pulled shut to lock, and you can hear people talking in the hall (or room above in our case - not enough to hear word for word). It is not a Holiday Inn but it is enchanting and has loads of character. In speaking with others and asking around, the owners are relatively new (this year) and are rapidly working to correct work that had neglected to be done previously. Right now the restaurant and tavern are not open but the repairs should be done soon. In talking with the manager, they have great vision and are making repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible. It is going to be beautiful so have some patience and bear with them. I cannot wait to see the strides they make by our stay next summer.
