The best area to stay in Jodo is primarily around the main ferry terminal and the nearby villages, which offer the most convenient access to the island's attractions and amenities.

The area directly surrounding the Jodo Ferry Terminal on the main island is the central point for visitors. This hub provides direct connections to the mainland and other smaller islands. Here, you'll find a concentration of guesthouses and small eateries, making it easy to arrange excursions or find a meal after arriving.

For travelers looking for a more tranquil experience, the villages scattered across the island, particularly those along the coastal roads, offer a more secluded stay. These areas are ideal for couples or solo travelers seeking a quiet retreat.

The best time to go to Jodo is during the spring (April to May) or autumn (September to October) months.

The weather is comfortable for leisurely walks and enjoying the scenery without the intense heat of summer.

Autumn provides similarly pleasant conditions, with temperatures usually between 18°C and 25°C (64°F to 77°F), and the foliage displays beautiful colors. This period is great for travelers who appreciate scenic beauty and a relaxed pace.
