“In addition to the new construction of the house, the added amenities were a very nice touch, along with the provided necessities (paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, laundry detergent, etc.). The shampoo/conditioner/soap dispensers in the showers and provided sink soaps were a pleasant surprise. Overall, a very nice house with very nice furnishings! Would stay here again!”

“Perfect house for a group of 7 adults. Lots of comfy seating inside and out on the deck and dock. Well stocked with oil, spices, etc. Master bed was very comfortable. Other beds were OK. Dock area is small and not deep water. That didn't matter to us since we went in September. Wifi was very slow but we had 5 people trying to work so more our fault than the house. Overall, an excellent Lake Gaston rental. ”

“We very much enjoyed staying here. We had the mother in law suite part of the house which was more than adequate for our needs. We loved the historic home aspect to the site. Everything was clean and in order, owner was quick to respond to anything we conveyed to them, and it was lovely being the only ones staying at the house at the time. “This property should be removed from Vrbo’s listings. As other reviews have stated, the rental is filthy, full of broken furniture/appliances, and has several unsafe areas. We spent the first day and a half of our stay, cleaning the place. It is clear that this property has not been inspected or maintained for cleanliness in a long time. This is not the result of one careless guest. This is complete neglect.The home has cobwebs, stuck on grease, dirt buildup, bugs, and mold in multiple areas.……

“If historical architecture is your thing then this is the place for you! This house was gorgeous and historical while still being very comfortable and functional. There were a few minor things different from the description but all for the better due to the updates and improvements the owner has made. We had a great time shopping and eating downtown at places that were all within walking distances and enjoying the views of the other historical houses surrounding this location on our stroll. We……
