Juhöhe Vacations from $1,092

Great location near the metro and bus stations and out of the business of downtown. Only twenty minutes to Altstadt. The room was large and modern. Maid was nice. Beds were very comfortable and shower was good. There is a grocery store a block away. Negative: Front desk staff never smiled and were often put out when we asked for something. One girl even rolled her eyes when we asked for ice, (despite the staff telling us we just needed to request it and it wouldn’t be a problem). They never acknowledged us unless we were standing directly in front of them and staring at them. They put a lot it pressure on us to include breakfast in our stay even though we said no several time. But I would still stay here again because of the cleanliness, convenience and beds.

I was very happy to find this boutique hotel within shouting distance of the Messe. For many years I stayed at the Marriott but wanted a change. It is a charming, quiet and comfortable hotel. The staff are particularly good natured and helpful. I hope no one reads this review so the rates don’t go up too much for next year. Be aware though it’s not fancy or upscale so if that is what you are after it may not be the right fit for you.

The hotel is very well equipped and the staff were courteous and helpful. My personal criticism is the rooms are poorly soundproofed and having the Gym on the top floor is not the best option. I could hear every dropped dumbbell. Such a shame as the location is great.

Front desk staff were not very friendly when I asked to check in early (keep in mind I was emailed asking if I wanted to pay a fee to check in at 10am, and arrived to the property about 11am). The room was nice but signs of wear and tear; including stains on the carpet, curtains, and bed. I have stayed at nicer 4 star hotels. Would probably find another hotel if I returned to Frankfurt.

The housekeepers were really nice, the restaurant servers and food were great. However, we were put in a much smaller room with queen bed on the 1st night even though I booked a room with twin beds. I don’t know if it was a miscommunication between Expedia and the hotel, but when I raised my concern to their staff, they were insistent that I booked the smaller hotel room and didn’t want to move us, even though I showed them what I booked. So I called Expedia to help us out and they talked to the staff. They eventually moved us the next day. It was a bigger room, but the shower entrance is so small that we had to squeeze our bodies just to get in. No air conditioner and a fan is provided, but I heard that this is normal for most hotels in Germany. Otherwise, it was pretty decent hotel.
