Literally Perfect

We stayed at Casa Barranco for 10 days and our only regret was that we didn’t book longer! The drive to the house is not for the faint hearted, steep mountain roads, dirt tracks and no signs, but it was more than worth it when we arrived! Our hosts were so helpful, they made us feel so welcome and came to find us when we got a bit lost! The house was immaculate, the grounds perfect, the pool pristine! The countryside is beyond beautiful and we loved listening the river below the house. There were some small hiccups with the hot water and one day we experienced a power cut but our host did everything possible to get these resolved as quickly as they could. During our stay we had visits from a family of wild pigs, a wild pony and some gorgeous puppies, you really are in the wilderness! The only advice I would impart is to stock up on your groceries before you arrive, the nearest supermarket, in Ronda, is about 40 minutes away by car. A perfect holiday, we will be back, thank you so much!

A lovely stay as a family at this rural house near Júzcar. It was great to enjoy the pool, walk to the river and enjoy discovering nearby villages. It’s in a very quiet and remote spot down 2km down a windy road with Ronda the nearest place for most things. Great and easy communication via WhatsApp, easy check in and throughout stay every query dealt with very quickly. The house was well appointed with everything we needed, well kept and a delight to stay at.

Fantastic house and pool. Amazing setting surrounded by woods and mountains, with a river below. Great place to get away from it all but also have Juzcar nearby for dinner and smurfs! Was initially worried about lack of reviews but there are lots of positive reviews on another site. Good communication with the host.

Our expectations of Casa Barranco were already high after reading previous reviews and seeing photos, however, nothing prepares you for experiencing it first hand. It certainly has the WOW factor. As a family of 4 with 2 children ( 15 & 12) we enjoyed a week at this idyllic property deep in mountainous terrain, after passing through the curious Smurf Village that is Juzcar. The drive along meandering roads led us to iron gates beyond which the property exists. The interior was beautifully decorated and catered for all our needs. Comfortable beds, fully fitted kitchen, a bbq, a Pizza oven! We loved the pool, outdoor seating area, the chill out zone, the hammocks. The stillness and tranquility were just what we wanted. Venture out to the stream, you won’t regret it . A special thank you to our host Carolina. She provided excellent information before, and during our stay. It was reassuring to know she was only ever a text message away to answer any queries. Thank you for making our stay so memorable and enjoyable. You have a beautiful family home. Thank you also for the welcome pack. We look forward to returning.
