Great location and resort

Second time we have stayed at honua kai and the location is amazing. Super close to the store and steps away from the beach and pool. We will be back!

Winter get away

Perfect size for 2 people. We needed a home base for our Hawaii adventure. Having a kitchen, place to work from and a washer/dryer is a necessity when we travel. The condo was perfect. The lanai was awesome as it faced the morning sunshine so we could wake up and enjoy a few peaceful moments as the sun rose. The beds are very comfortable and the condo was well stocked with outdoor items needed for a day at the beach. We would definitely return.

Nice spacious resort

Have stayed at Honua Kai several times. Love the spacious lanai. Grounds and pool area is beautiful. Nice to have Dukes on site. Our room was well equipped and comfortable to stay in

Beautiful Property

I've stayed with my family at the Honua Kai resort three times (pool, location, property amenities are wonderful). This specific unit is very well maintained with obvious investments in premium TVs, streaming services, gifts, etc. upon arrival to make the hosts stand out. I would stay there again and recommend their specific unit.

Great Condo!!!

We had a great stay (despite some rain) and will definitely plan to go back. It was nice to have the flexibility to cook in the room at the end of the day and having a market within walking distance was very convenient!

Great condo with lots of room! Fully stocked with pool and beach toys, baby cribs, high chair, life jackets and a wagon! Can't say enough about the positive customer service we received. We've stayed at the Honua Kai before and this is our favourite booking!

Wonderful Property

My family and I enjoyed the property so much! I booked as a family of 6 but notified Jill that my daughter from Oahu will by joining on our 4th day so a total of 7 and Jill was very accommodating to it. Monty was very welcoming and came through with a new iron as the one already there would not work. I would definitely book with Jill again and recommend this property to others.

Wonderfully Perfect

We loved our stay! The staff was super friendly and helpful, we loved being able to use all the pools, workout room and access to the beach. The condo was beautifully decorated, a quick elevator ride and walk to the pool or beach, cozy beds and plenty of room to rejuvenate for another day. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the lani as well as breakfast and lunch. Our family of 5 with 3 teens, two being girls especially liked the large bathroom and were able to make only having one work just fine. The wagon, chairs and beach toys were a wonderful addition! We would most definitely stay here again. Thank you so much for sharing your place in paradise with us! The Wilcoxen Family

Very Nice Condo! Great Pool and Beach!

It was a very nice condo, and wonderful pool area! My only complaint was that the AC did not seem to get below 74 degrees. Maintenance checked it and said it was working, but still did not cool as much as we would have liked for sleeping! Overall great condo, appreciate the baby items they had!

Beautiful, Roomy, Perfect Stay!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an amazing stay in Honua Kai Konea 206. The room was much bigger than we expected and comfortable slept 5 people. It was well stocked with kitchen supplies to easily cook meals. The bathroom was also very nice. Lastly, we really appreciate that the room came with beach/pool supplies for us to use. The location was also perfect, right on the ocean and walkable to whalers village. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing stay at Honua Kai with Hawaii Life

I had an amazing stay at Honua Kai with Hawaii Life! The check-in process was incredibly smooth, and communication with the host was fantastic both before and during my stay. The condo was spotless, with stylish decor that made it feel like a true home away from home. The condo had all of the amenities for us to cook with, and the wagon and beach chairs were an added bonus for the beach. Really nice touch with the thoughtful welcome gifts in the Condo when we arrived. The resort itself was fantastic, offering multiple pools to choose from, and the beach was absolutely stunning—its steps from the pools. Lots of beach towels available using the towel system in the resort, great sunsets with some live music from Duke’s. There is an Safeway about 10 mins away that had everything we needed for groceries. Overall, a perfect vacation spot that I would love to visit again. Highly recommended!

Beautiful

Jill Is great to work with. The unit is very nice The property itself is beautiful. We were there during Covid so my only complaint is the pool chairs were gone most days but Jill provided beach chairs so we just brought those down most days. Parking can also be hard to find in the garages at night. The beach has rock and coral making it hard to swim but still doable. Swimmable beaches nearby as well. The pool is very kid friendly but also has an adult area/feel as well. So many pools and hot tubs. We will definitely stay here again.

Loved it!

My family (three adults and one 7 y/o), stayed at this condo for about a week, and we could not have been happier! It was very clean, and they provided ample stock of supplies. Beds were comfortable and the unit was quiet. The in-unit laundry was a must for us and very convenient. We used the kitchen often and it had all the utensils, pans, etc that we needed. We often ate on the balcony looking out at the well-maintained grounds and rainbows that would appear frequently toward the mountains. It is a quick walk to the pool(s), Duke's Restaurant (on property), and the beach. We used the provided beach chairs, umbrella, and wagon to haul our stuff nearly every day. The community BBQs near the pool are well maintained by the property staff. There is pretty good snorkeling at the beach nearby. We saw an array of beautiful fish, and even an occasional turtle. Black Rock and other well known snorkeling spots are not far away either. Parking is underground in the same building, and once we found the right elevator, was also easy and convenient. The property management was very responsive when we alerted them to a broken item--even promptly bringing over a replacement. It's always a little nerve wracking for me to choose a place to stay, especially for a week or more, but we had no regrets on this property choice once we saw it and experienced it for ourselves.

Gorgeous, spacious, and perfect for families

We've been to Maui multiple times and stayed at various locations, and our stay at Honua Kai was one of the best ever. We would absolutely stay there again and have already recommended it to some friends and relatives. Will was great with communication and we had all the info we needed as far as check-in, etc., and the condo had everything we needed. Most of the other reviews reflect this same info, and for good reason - this place was fantastic. Here are a few thoughts to keep in mind in case you're trying to decide where to stay: 1) This is basically a 2 BR/1 BA condo. The "den" is a bedroom with a door and everything - but it lacks a closet and window, and it shares a bath with the master. Since it's listed as a 1 BR with a den, you might be concerned about space. Don't be. It's plenty big for a family of 4 (kids aged 9 and 4), and we didn't even use the sofa bed. 2) The views are great. It's not facing the ocean (though you can technically see a portion of it off the edge of the deck), and it faces the mountains. If you're okay without an ocean view, you're probably not going to do better than this in the Kaanapaali area. 3) The condo is situated on the outside of the building, facing the other building on property. There's a large grassy area between the two buildings that opens up and affords the view mentioned above. Because of this alignment, the condo is really, really quiet. You're not on top of the pool, you're not facing any construction or a road or a parking lot. There's nobody gathering in the space between buildings. 4) There are LOTS of kids at this property. It's mostly families. The pool areas are designed for this. There's a waterslide and multiple kid pools. 5) The on-property restaurant, Duke's, is pretty good. Given it's location, it could have been sub-par, but we enjoyed several meals there. The gourmet market is good as well, but expensive. The good news if you're trying to save money is that you're literally across the street from a grocery store, and the condo has a full kitchen. 6) I can't speak for the rest of the property, but this condo does not have daily maid service. We knew about this going in, and it's priced accordingly. This was a non-factor for us. We are definitely going to keep this property at the top of our list the next time we travel to Maui.
