Great stay

Very comfortable, the place was tidy. We did have to buy some Tupperware and potholders and such. It was advertised as having 2 King size beds in one room, and a king in the other bedroom;which was why we picked it. But there was only one bed per bedroom. Kids had to sleep on the pullout, which was comfy. Had to buy blankets though.Beach was right across the walkway, and was absolutely lovely. Would stay here again.

Honua Kai Rocks!!!

Can't say enough about this resort and our great unit at Honua Kai. We had this spacious corner unit 236 and loved it. Kids had plenty of space and the extras in the unit were great.

Beautiful resort with all the amenities!

Our family of 5 (children ages 10, 7, 3) enjoyed a week at the Honua Kai Resort and Spa. The two bedroom condo was spacious, the kitchen well equipped, and the beach items a plus. We upgraded the free rental car to a jeep and took some adventures north of Kaanapali Beach visiting Honolua Bay for snorkeling, a picnic by the Nakalele Blow Hole, relaxing at Fleming Beach, and cruising in Lahaina. It was paradise and we can't wait to go back!

Awesome Unit and great Resort - Duke's Duke's Duke's

We loved this resort and Duke's out front was so great. Kids loved the food and so did we. Justin and John were great to deal with from KBM Hawaii. We will book with them again. Thanks for the great time and the very clean, spacious, private, corner, large lanai unit. We will be back hopefully sooner than later.

All you would ever need

We had a great stay here last August at our favourite resort. It was our 3rd time at Honua Kai, this time staying in unit 236 which we found through KBM Hawaii. The place was well maintained, the staff looking after us so professional and friendly, really helping make our whole experience a smooth trouble free holiday. Love the BBQ (like all Australians!), great pool to relax in and really enjoyed our evening drink at Dukes...cool place.

Outstanding

We travel to resort destination a lot and have to say this is now our new favorite. The property is gorgeous and the KBM Hawaii people who run this place were outstanding, they had free beach gear, free car, and when we wanted anything we just called and they were at our door in 10 minutes. Highly recommended.

Wow. What a perfect spot...

Wow. What a perfect spot for a family vacation. The condo was fabulous and well suited for our needs. While the complex is not finished yet, that did not stop us from having a great vacation. The pool and beachfront are great. The unit has everything you could possibly need! Again, thanks it was great.

Great resort

We stayed here for 7 nights with our children and enjoyed every minute. The pictures shown and amenities listed are accurate. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The resort grounds, pools and public areas were clean and well maintained. This is a perfect location to stay on Maui! You're close to everything. There are a couple very nice beaches 10 minutes to the north of the resort, one with shade and picnic grounds. If you stay here, you won't be disappointed.

Great location, great condo, wonderful trip!

It was our first time to Maui but we will absolutely be back! KBM (especially Ronit) did an outstanding job from meeting us at check in, to helping us with activities, to finally letting us have a bit later check-out. Their customer service and responsiveness could not have been any better! Honua Kai is in a great location with easy access to all parts of the island. The Honua Kai amenities are fantastic - great pools, an awesome beach with great snorkeling, and Duke's restaurant is right there with is super convenient. Thanks again for taking such good care of us!!

Amazing time at Honua Kai in 236!!

My friends & I stayed here in the beginning of June and absolutely LOVED it!! The condo was incredibly with all the amenities we could ever want. Stocked with all the beach towels, chairs, toys... we had so much fun. The condo (236) was very clean and spacious... the beds were super comfy and the bathrooms big. We hung out on the Huge Lanai with cocktails... it was perfect! KBM Hawaii was so helpful and nice whenever we had any questions or needed anything. John checked us in when we arrived and it was a great personal touch. I will definitely always book with KBM Hawaii for all my Maui vacations!! They have incredible properties :) I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Maui!!

Good-bye Ali'i = Hello Honua Kai Resort

First we having been coming to Maui for 30+ years as my parents used to bring me here and we would always stay at the Ali'i on Ka'anapali Beach. Well we couldn't get a nice unit there this time and have been wanting to try out Honua Kai Resort and we are very pleased. We rented this unit through Justin from KBM Hawaii and he gave us a very competitive rate compared to the resort directly. We have used VRBO many times and this was the easiest experience. This unit is so great and I would highly recommend to anyone. All the extras were great - pack/play, high chair, boogie boards, beach chairs, beach umbrella, cooler(man this was nice) kids toys sand and for the unit, puzzles, games. This unit was also very clean and the amenities were awesome. Thanks again and we will see you every year and hopefully one day buy a unit here.

True Maui Experience

My family and I stayed at the Hona Kai Resort in condo room 236 and this place really made our holiday! The 2 bed, 2 bath condo was very spacious and the balcony/lanai was huge for the kids to play on whilst we relaxed on the deck chairs reading. The location of the resort is great also, with only a quick walk to 3 swimming pools, your own beach or a 5 min drive into Lahaina if you wanted to go out for dinner or stroll the shops. Having Dukes Resturant onsite was also very special. We have stayed in Maui lots of times but only having to walk a short distance to this amazing resturant for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner was great. Inside the condo, they have everything you could ask for. Full, self contained kitchen, towels, games, beach and BBQ equipment etc. Plus you have access to a secure, underground car park and the resort gym which was convenient. John from KBM Hawaii met us on time in reception, gave us a warm aloha and took us straight to the room, knowing we had just travelled 15 hours to get there! We would highly recommend the Hona Kai Resort to our friends and will definately be staying back there on our next trip to Maui.

Best Thanksgiving Ever - Really brought our family together

First I would like to say how blessed and thankful we all were to be able to have the most amazing family vacation ever. From start, calling KBM Hawaii to book our vacation, to arriving and meeting John Brunold who personally checked us in was 1st class. If we had the simplest question Justin or John were just a phone call away or even a text. The unit was very spacious and had plenty of room for our family of 6. This unit is stocked with everything you need from a pack/play(that was clean), high chair, boogie boards, beach chairs, beach toys, games to play, books to read it had it all along with everything you need to cook any size meal. We cooked a turkey and we had everything we needed. The unit is a very spacious 2 bedroom / 2 bath corner unit. We lived outdoors on the massive lanai and my favorite part is how private it was. It has 2 large chase lounge chairs that my wife and eldest daughter would not share. The dining room table is situated so that you are well protected from the days that are a little windy. The inside the bedrooms are on opposite sides so there is total privacy. 2 large bathrooms both with separate shower and tubs. Gourmet kitchen and full size bosch fridge. The unit is CLEAN... like baby crawling all over the floor clean. The girls loved the amenities as it was some fancy French line. All I can say is WOW!!!! this a great condo and location in the building. Thank you John, Justin & Barbara for making this a vacation to remember. I recommend the KBM Hawaii property management company for making this a great vacation and giving me the comfort feeling knowing they are licensed and are on island just down the street gives you a good feeling that you are not being scammed or ripped off.

Family vacation

Overall, I’ll just say we liked it here. Plenty of beach accessories, although the Tommy Bahama chairs are quite worn. Two complaints: 1. Outdoor patio was a mess. All the patio furniture was piled up off to the side and there was construction debris all over the outdoor tile floor. Spent first half hour there vacuuming the outdoor space. I’m sure the furniture was set where it was to protect during the renovation but other units right next to us had there furniture out Could easily have kept the area clean and asked renters to return furniture to protected area when not using it. That was frustrating. 2. (Compared to condo we rented in Wailea )The kitchen and general supplies is quite austere. No pen, pencil or paper anywhere in the unit. The kitchen did not have simple things like a peeler. No storage containers for keeping leftovers from meals or cut up fruit/veggies. There were only small wash cloths but no drying towels for items that don’t fit in the dishwasher. The dishwasher is terrible. After every wash cycle you see the detergent dispenser still contains plastic and soap remnants. Maybe it’s the tabs and not the dishwasher. Coffee maker is the cheapest thing you’ve ever seen. It makes coffee, but doesn’t even have a warming feature. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that. To the goods. Great indoor space. Kids had there own room and bathroom and both bathrooms in the unit have good sized showers with separate bathtubs. Really handy when bathing kids after beach days! Washer and dryer also came in handy. Grocery store is a five minute drive away, very convenient and much better prices than Safeway. Location is nice, very quick walk to pools or beach. Pretty decent boogie boarding on the beach, snorkeling not so much. We preferred quick drive to DT Fleming for boarding or to Kapalua for snorkeling. Overall, would stay here again. Possibly would choose a unit on the third floor or up as there is no solid wall on the patio to obstruct view.

Paradise with a Partial Ocean View

The property was just as advertised and was a wonderful place to stay. We loved the doors in the family room that fully opened onto the lanai. We also enjoyed the lanai and the privacy it offered while still having a partial view of the ocean and a view of the mountains and the sunrsie. The space was even large enough that I worked out on the lanai - what a beautiful view! It worked out nicely that the second bedroom could be converted to two single beds. We loved that there were two bathrooms so that we could all get ready more quickly. There was newer furniture in the family room and it was very comfortable. The kitchen was nicely equipped and we appreciated the welcome items we received upon arrival. The only thing we felt was missing is we couldn't find hot pads or oven mitts. We appreciated the beach chairs and boogie boards that we could use. It was nice to have these items for the beach. My husband and I utilized the workout room. It gets really busy starting around 7:00 a.m. It had a good assortment of weights and cardio equipment. The resort is located close to the food trucks over by Times Supermarket. We liked that there was food within walking distance to where we were staying. We enjoyed this resort and this property. It was very homey and we had a wonderful time.

The room was perfect

The room was perfect for our annual girls trip, very roomy for our group of 5 women and stocked with everything we needed to have a great time, the beach toys and cooler were nice to have as well. The listing pictures are true to what you arrive to and and the resort was perfect. Our group all agreed we would stay here again.

The location is the best.

The unit is great and very spacious Well furnished and well taken care of. The location is the best. You can see both the ocean and the mountains from the huge wrap around lanai. There is a large nano wall that opens out into a he lanai from the living room and the master bedroom.

Condo was large, beautiful and very clean

Incredible vacation experience Staff: Simply Amazing. From my first email to the last communication. Everyone was always helpful and friendly even though it was obvious how busy they were. Condo was large, beautiful and very clean. Stocked with everything we could ever need including wifi! The kid toys and puzzles were well used as was the huge patio. And at the the end of the trip, I appreciated just being able to just close the door and leave when it was time to go home. I would book through them again!
