The room was clean, newly renovated with state-of-the-art designs and appliances. Very comfortable and spacious rooms, nice balcony, perfect for anyone with a family. The beach was quiet unlike the other resorts waterfront, so it was nice to have a swim with just yourself or family without the other noises coming from karaoke bars or fireworks (we came during a festive celebration). The food isn’t that great but you can walk to other restaurants along the beach to find something that you’d like. The beach is accessible for us to get around, boats can come pick us up for snorkeling, seeing the turtles, visit the Redang village, etc. The staffs here at Peridot are super nice and helpful, we also had a great chat with the hotel manager and he took care of our family very well. From the time we arrived at the Laguna jetty, there was already a buggy service waiting for us, and they also arranged buggy service before our boat departure from the island. Highly recommend this resort.

I really liked Arwana and would stay here again. It’s literally right on the beach. The water is crystal clear and baby reef sharks swim around happily. Perhentian doesn’t have any roads so the hotel can arrange water taxis. We did the Redang island trip and the snorkelling trip, both arranged by Arwana and they were both excellent. Don’t go expecting a 5 star experience, but this hotel has a rustic charm, the room was nice and clean and the pool is a good size. It’s peaceful and exudes chilled island vibes. In the evening, walk down the beach for different dining options and try the guys to grill the fresh seafood for you. I loved it here. A thoroughly relaxing stay in pristine surroundings.
