I seldom offer a negative review--one person's experience ought not determine a decision to stay. We have been IHG members and have preferentially stayed at Holiday Inn and HIExpress for probably 20 years. This was the least desirable of all the stays I have ever had. From the check-in for a two-night stay, it started to go downhill. The huge atrium might work for a large conference (an attached conference center), but it sure didn't make the entrance appealing. We were early for check-in--understandable--so we waited the 21 minutes in the lobby until check-in. Once in the room, there was no hand soap dispenser--instead, the sink had body lotion and shampoo dispensers. I called to ask for a soap dispenser; soon, a staff member brought two tiny bars of soap--they did not have any soap dispensers. In the morning, the body wash dispenser in the shower was empty. We left for the day and returned shortly before dinner, finding that we had received no housekeeping service. At the very least, we expected to get new towels and the bed made, even without fresh sheets, and to refill the empty (and missing) soap and body was dispensers. I went to the desk to ask about it and was told that they never enter a room if someone is in it. I explained that we were not in the room--we did not have the "do not disturb" sign hanging. I said I doubted that was actual policy and that if it was, they needed to let guests staying more than one night of that policy. In total, poor stay
