In the heart of Texas Hill Country in the beautiful City of Kerrville. Just blocks from historic downtown Kerrville and the Guadalupe River Urban Trail you'll find all the comforts of home in this high tech yet vintage house. \+ Personalized private door code / keyless entry \+ Coffee Bar \+ High Speed WIFI & Smart Center \+ Outdoor experience w/ Fire Pit, Grill & Game area with Ping Pong, Corn Hole \+ Beautifully appointed Kitchen \+ Spa like bathrooms \+ W/D for stays 4 days and over \+ Pets OK You'll have private access to the entire house and yard. Plenty of parking in the driveway. Enjoy our outdoor area's with a fun game of Ping Pong or Corn Hole or relax by the fire pit and enjoy a glass of wine in front of our custom Blue Heron mural painted by a local artist. Once you arrive and enter the house you'll find our "Tech " center which will help guide you to great restaurants, fun things to do, and you will have access to tons of videos that will inform you on how to use everything in the house, so you get the most out of your stay. You'll also be emailed a link to our Digital Guidebook before your arrival. The Blue Heron Cottage is just a few blocks from historic downtown Kerrville. We often just walk or jog down to our favorite coffee shop, PAX Coffee for a latte and scone in the mornings after our run on the River Trail. There is so much beauty to be seen here in Kerrville. The neighborhood is older, like 1920's older, so you'll see some homes in need of repair and some that are beautifully refreshed. In the early mornings or around sunset you can sit on the front porch and watch the deer stroll down the block. Guests will be provided with a personal door code that can be accessed via key pad or app on your smart device. You'll receive emails leading up to your stay will all the details of the house, house rules and what to expect once you arrive, and what our safety precautions are for our guests. We want you to feel safe and secure during your stay. If you have questions, please don't hesitate to message us through the your booking app or site. Anyone wishing to stay longer than 30 days, please reach out to us for availability and possible discounts. No photography or filming for commercial purposes allowed without prior written authorization. No events without prior written authorization. Once you arrive, feel free to park in the driveway. There is room enough for 2-3 cars in the drive, if parked behind each other. The gate into the back yard should remain closed. This helps keep the deer out. From the moment you open the door with your smart phone you'll notice the large sparkling clean rooms, with attention to every detail, from the extra-ordinary luxurious bathrooms, to the custom built 90 year old barn door, and hand crafted, locally sourced, Cypress coffee bar. Dimmers on all the lights and remotes on all the fans to set your mood. No detail left unturned. Take your pick from the romantic aire of Bedroom 1 to the modern chic splash of Bedroom 2 with French Doors that lead out to the back porch and your outdoor experience. Once outside in the back yard discover an incredible hand painted-by a local artist, Kerrville themed mural on the side of the Game Barn. Play corn-hole, grill some steaks or sit around the fire pit with a glass of Kerr County wine while making S'mores. You'll never want to leave. We want you to remember your stay here in Kerrville and to continue to make the Blue Heron Cottage your go to stay location. We are so close to town that you could walk if you think a mile is no big deal. However, if you prefer to drive there are plenty of parking spaces and it never seems to be an issue. There are NOT many Uber's in town, so if you are going out for some adult beverages, please have a sober driver, or call a cab. The entire house was designed with you in mind. From the linens to the selection of coffee on the custom made Cypress Coffee Bar. Whether you are enjoying a morning coffee on the back patio bistro set, or a glass of wine during sunset on the front porch rockers. We want you to enjoy and relax. As of 2025 we are now Pet Friendly at the Blue Heron Cottage. Up to two (2) Dogs allow with an additional $75.00 per pet, per reservation fee upon reservation. Note extra fees go directly to our Housekeeping team for the additional time to clean and de-fur the space. We don't recommend staying with small children as the house is NOT baby/child proofed, or have any baby amenities. However, we welcome well behaved kids both young and older. ;-) We do have a utility room with Washer and Dryer that will be opened upon request for anyone staying 4 days or longer. The Blue Heron was a great place to stay for our family of 4\. The kids loved the outdoor games, especially ping pong, and I loved that the back yard is gated with comfy chairs for adults around a fire ring. The house had everything needed, and I liked that many things were labeled for ease of use. We spent most of our time at the house due to our kids getting sick and the house was comfortable with everything needed to make the best of our stay with sick kids. There was an issue with city workers needing access to the backyard during our stay and Tom and Erin reached out immediately to check in on us and the house. Felt like home!! The host were great. Cleanest place I have stayed in. Close to everything in Kerrville. Feel in love with this cottage! So relaxing, fabulous decor, great accommodations. We loved it so much! Great coffee bar, spacious and inviting areas throughout the home. Awesome backyard, landscape, and barn game room. Cooking utensils, toiletries, etc., were labeled so as to make it easy to find them, beds were very comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet. The house was beautiful and had all of the amenities that we could even think about needing. The house next door was being renovated and when we first got there, the men working on the house made us a little uncomfortable. But after that. Everything was fine. I would recommend getting non see through curtains on the main parts of the house. The house was magical and perfectly appointed from arrival to departure.
