"The hotel has the nicest welcoming staff soon we walked to the lobby floor. They were really friendly and checked in very smoothly to our room. We had a comfy double room overlooking some mountains and houses. Train station just outside the hotel and very convenient to take trains around or going to old part of Kumamoto. We liked our stay and loved the city. Hope to return one day staying the same hotel. "

"Spending more time traveling up and down escalators. Since there is no drop-off for the hotel itself we had to park our car for 1 hour just for dropping off the baggage. Room is smaller than expected and there is no room to open baggage."

"Short 10mins taxi ride from Kumamoto Train station, costs around 10USD for the taxi ride. Within walking distance to Kumamoto Castle, if walking is not your thing, you can take a taxi to the entrance of Josaien, which will lead you to the entrance of Kumamoto Castle as well. The taxi ride was around 5mins, and cost less than 6USD. It is also a short 10mins walk to Tsuruya Departmental Store, and plenty of cute shops in the nearby shopping arcade as well. Great location. "
