Great location, pool is especially great!

We had a great stay at this property. The house is older, but well-maintained and you can't beat the location. The salt water pool is really nice to have.

Cozy stay!

This house was great! We loved the pool and hot tub, the walk to the beach was quick, and the house felt instantly comfy and homey. The kitchen was also incredibly well stocked, making food prep and storage super simple! The only change we would make would be paying to heat the pool! Overall, this was a great stay!!

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Dog run was nice, pool was filthy, filled with fresh grass cuttings, onion peel, dirt, etc. Dead flies on floor in master BR carpet. MBR bathroom floor was filthy. Futon in bottom BR was broken, we had to put it back together.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location was good. The property was not completely clean,. There was dog poop on the outside deck. WE sent a picture the day we arrived with no response. There were also areas that had dirt in corners. Furniture was dated and dirty and did not seem to match. Upstairs very cluttered ie baby high chair in dining area that made it cramped.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a good week! Enjoyed the house and the fact that it was nice and clean when we arrived!! We rented another house several years ago from one of the other major OBX rental companies and had a terrible experience. The house was filthy and smelly. It took me four hours and about $70 in cleaning supplies and air fresheners to get it to a tolerable state. I can confidently say that we had no such issues with Carolina Shores. They were very pleasant to deal with and they had the house clean and ready to go. We will definitely rent through them again!!

Dog and Family Friendly

This property is exactly as advertised!! We had a wonderful stay here with 6 adults, 3 kids and 2 pups. The fenced in dog area is huge and has lighting. We enjoyed the pool and patio area when we weren’t at the beach. A short walk around the corner to the beach access which has your choice of the sandy walk over the dune or a walkway made of the composite wood material-very nice. Kill Devil Hills is a family friendly area and convenient to everything. Our only complaint was we had to clean when we got there - the counters in the kitchen had crumbs and the floors and steps on all levels needed to be vacuumed but that's a cleaning crew issue.

From the beach, great location. House cleaning could improve, trash cabinet very dirty and found biscuits in a bowl stuffed in a cabinet which had a foul oder. Overall very nice stay.

Comfortable and Great Location

You can't beat the location -- it is 2ish blocks to beach access. The pool area is nice and it was a very comfortable stay.

Great Location

This property is a short walk to the beach, and equal distance to Nags Head and Kitty Hawk. There were some ants by the kitchen sink when we arrived, the upstairs bathroom toilet seat was unhinged, and the sheets in the master had stains on them. They could stand to update the shower heads as well. If those minor details were fixed we would definitely recommend this property.

Close to everything

The property is only a block away from the beach and minutes away from Publix and other stores/nearby attractions! We loved the salt water pool which was decently sized for our family. The outdoor showers were nice and clean. Easiest thing to do is have someone take all the chairs, tents, coolers, etc and drive up to the beach access so we didn't have to lug it all the way to the beach. The house was clean, wifi was good/strong, and maintenance/management responsive. Overall great trip!

Overall a pretty good place to vaca.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was very disappointed with the cleanliness of the cottage. I was told that the place would be COVID-19 cleaned, the house wasn’t even dirt cleaned. The main bath shower liner and hall bath shower liner both had mold and hair in the tub and shower. A chair in in the den had dog hair all over it. I tried to clean with dust buster but it had not been charged. The table cloth had all kind of dried food on it. I will say the beds were the most comfortable. The cottage was very well stocked with kitchen items and entertainment items for children. I very much liked the location, not far from most popular places.

The house was clean, the kitchen was well stocked, the grill worked well, and the pool and hot tub were clean and refreshing. The rental office had everything ready for us, and the friendly Maintenence man stopped by to make sure the pool and everything else was in working order. Overall, a great experience in the outer banks!
