The beach is a picturesque 1-mile (1.6-kilometer) curve of soft golden sand. It’s a designated Blue Flag beach, which means that it’s environmentally friendly and has clean, safe water. Walk to the north end of King’s Beach to reach the surfing and kitesurfing areas.

Situated in the suburb of Humewood, King’s Beach is less than a 10-minute drive from Port Elizabeth’s city center. It’s easily accessible via public bus, taxi and rental car. There’s a large parking area at the northern end of the promenade.

The pool complex and waterpark are open from September to April. Bayworld is open daily, except for Christmas Day.
