"We had a wonderful stay at the Anthracite while in town for a wedding. From check in to check out all was smooth. The accommodations were well maintained and the location was convenient to both our Honesdale wedding and meeting up with family in Hawley. The breakfast was well executed with plenty of options. Coffee was served fresh by a waitstaff. If ever we're passing through, we'll be back."

"I books 2 rooms for 2 nights… the front feel can only find my room and told me to take up the problem with the bilingüe dire after close to a. Hour of finding s person to talk to,,, the agent called the hotel and that deseches fir another 30 minutes i figure it our.. the issue was that he didn’t brother to look up my reservación but he found my name he didn’t brother to look further… having an attire the whole time. The room Didnt have fridge nor microwave. I found roach in the bathroom… STAY AWAY!!!"

"Only used it for a quick one night’s sleep and it fit the bill. Very friendly staff and large room. Convenient location, so you can walk to a couple of restaurants and fast food joints, as well as a large grocery store. Their basic+ breakfast (waffles, powdered scrambled eggs, sausage paddies) was a free bonus."

"Reasonable rate for a very safe and secure area. Ideal for female travelers travelling alone. Very clean and comfortable rooms, bedding, bathroom. Plan to always go there when I'm in the area, can't be beat. Last year I was at a nearby hotel, it was okay, but the surroundings did not make me feel secure coming and going at night. At the current place, its location is like Fort Knox, surrounded by fencing, and ingress/ egress are only available to hotel guests, It may be difficult to locate the entry but that's the advantage, nobody can find it except those guests looking for it. A little inconvenience is certainly worth the security it provides."

"Nice spacious suites for traveling with kids. Loved that the hotel had coffee/ tea always available, very nice breakfast included and we loved the pool. Our room had a slightly odd smell during our 4 night stay - maybe a pet had stayed directly before us? Beds were comfortable, pillows very soft but the bedding felt a bit cheap. We had room cleaned once during our stay and was only so-so, the pullout bed wasn't made, sheets were left all bunched up. Overall would stay again when in the area, price was fair for what you get. Not luxury but convenient and clean."
