Good place to stay
We booked a double room with private bathroom. The hotel and the room were clean, and quiet. The beds are comfortable, parking is free onsite. The staff were very friendly. The location is great. There's a waterfall behind the hotel. Just one thing to note but it's not a deal breaker is that the breakfast is very basic (one cup of yugort, one slide of cucumber, slides of bread and cheese as many as you want, small orange juice box and coffee - refill)

Poor value for money.
This is what you end up when someone with no sense of hospitality decides to convert their 6 or 7 ugly warehouse buildings into ‘rooms’ simply to make money. Very poor value for money -like most hotel rooms in Iceland. Almost absent service, cheap, basic, depressing rooms with awful breakfast. When I asked for a machine-made coffee over the nasty stuff that came out of thermos, attendant almost said no! When paying £145/€$170 a night? Sheer opportunism and greed.

Iceland during Summer has a shortage of decent hotel rooms. However, this room was underwhelming even for low Icelandic standards. We paid €170/night for a tiny room with shared bathroom in a shed, visible plumbing, uncomfortable beds, and a trivial breakfast. I am used to hostels and third world backpacking, so it wouldn’t have been a problem at a lower price point, but at €175, this is a daylight robbery. I hope proper hotel chains come in and build decent accommodation, because now it just seems that few locals that have property here are massively exploiting the tourists with few options. Anyway - lower your expectations all who seek to sleep here.
