We spent 3 nights at the Ice Hotel (2 in warm rooms and 1 in a cold room).
Overall, our trip was very memorable and special and the individual staff members were great, but there were bumps along the way that would benefit from more attention/improvement, especially given the prices charged by the Ice Hotel.
1- the hotel had somehow messed up our ice fishing reservations, which I had booked and paid for 1 month in advance and were basically unwilling to help or fix it other than saying “oh well, we are now fully booked” until I made a big deal about it.
2- the warm rooms (we had the Nordic chalet which is supposed to be the nicest one) are very bare basics/spartan (and in our case, the shower wasn’t working at first) and the prices charged for those rooms do not justify their condition.
So, I would recommend the hotel for its uniqueness but hope that they will spend some time on improvements in the near future.
