Our room was a modern, spacious first-floor room at the front of the property, and it was spotlessly clean. There were a few small downsides. The bathroom had a handheld shower over the bath rather than a separate walk-in shower, which was a little disappointing, although it was perfectly usable. The in-room coffee supplies were quite limited, but the coffee served at breakfast was excellent and definitely made up for it! "The room clean but the hallways smell pretty bad and the whole place is in bad need of a renovation. The door cards made out of wood are cheap and do not work well. We had to go back down to the reception and get plastic cards which worked well. Staff is friendly and supportive"

"The room was peaceful and spacious, with an opening window and a balcony door that let in lots of fresh air. The bed was firm which I find very comfortable. The staff were particularly helpful, carrying bags & providing us with pots of tea at odd times (no kettle in the room). The decor may be somewhat dated but I value tranquility and kindness over a spa bath any day"
