Great customer service

We chose this hotel because of its uniqueness and its location in the heart of Sacramento. We found it to be lovely, restful, and great for walking. On the way to Sacramento we read some less-than-great reviews, so were a bit apprehensive when we arrived, but found that we had everything we needed. There was no staff member on-site in the evening, and we had no unmet needs, but we were given a number to text if we needed anything. We were on the second floor, and found that it took the hot water a while to arrive, but we eventually did get good, hot water for showers. Our biggest problem was parking, which can add quite a bit to the price of the room. If you do feel you have found free parking, be sure to check the signs, especially those written in red. We made the mistake of parking in a good space on a day that was prohibited because of street cleaning, and the parking ticket is very expensive.

First time staying here, and ehh. It's okay. I am not sure if I will ever return. I enjoyed the peace and quiet however there are some flaws I did come across.. - Very poor lighting throughout the common areas of the property. If you don't know where you are going, you will get lost. (I tried looking for a map on the website, but couldn't find one.?) A major safety hazard; Not ADA friendly at night. - The size of the TV did not size up to the room. The TV was less than 32". The bathroom faucet was not the right one installed. Water splashes outside the bowl. The black stool for the makeup station was old, and dirty. The hotel staff were very friendly however! And the pillows were comfy! I give them a AAA rating for that. I would suggest to the owners to take care of the grounds more. Install new plants that match the scenery, improve lighting, pressure wash the walkways, and cover any dirt areas will rocks. We stayed here overnight for a event. The highlight of our stay was the breakfast. We didn't use the other amenities like the gym, hot tub, or business center. The room was clean. The free shampoo and conditioner could have been topped off, but considering they were free, I can't really complain. I recommend new mattresses as we didn't get much sleep because it was too hard. We couldn't really get comfortable. The air conditioning unit worked, but was a little noisy. Overall, our stay was okay, but I'm not sure if I'd come back.
