I did my best to accept that it was an old hotel and that there may be some bugs but after 3 days and more and more cockroaches I just couldn’t do it. They were fully aware of the issue and did their best to hide it. When I was first shown my room the person even walked into the room and opened the closed bathroom door to check if there were any bugs in there at the time. I didn’t think much of it to begin with but this is obvious now. It was once a nice hotel I’m sure but the pictures shown just aren’t what it is now unfortunately. The only downside is you don’t get a comforter on the bed, only sheets. There’s a thick wool blanket in the closet but it would have been nice to have a comforter on the bed. The bed itself was large but very hard. The staff are great and the location terrific. Very nice to be on the beach and the pool next to the beach. Food I had was very good. The bad. Best to called the place tired and wore out. The hot water didn’t work in the shower but they did fix it when asked. The furniture and room needs a good makeover and upgrade. There is no phone or TV in the room. There is no where to sit only a little stool next to a very small working area. My biggest concern was the noise from the van/ bar next door. Very loud and never seemed to be quiet until 11:30 or 12\. Not a problem if you are up partying. Not a place to sleep. I would have gone to another hotel after the first night but I had paid for 4 nights. I do not think the good outweighs the bad.
