Fabulous week spent at the sumptuous and elegant, yet understated and relaxed Hotel Steigenberger! Our room was beautifully appointed, comfortable and spacious. Our meals were wonderful, very fresh local ingredients and many delicious offerings. Couldn’t have been better!

This hotel maintains the high standards of Steigenberger. There is pride in the craft, thus the staff are helpful, professional, and pleasant. It is a little island (Insel) refuge, and pays homage in many ways to its origin as a Dominican cloister. Get a room facing the Bodensee for the full experience, and always include the breakfast!

I love this hotel for the grand historic building, the spacious rooms and the fantastic lake views. Lakeside lunch is great, bar good, dinner somewhat limited. Easy walk to many dining options in town.

Excellent setting in a very nice town which has a terrific holiday atmosphere. Also an excellent base to travel in Germany and Switzerland. It was my second visit to this Hotel, patio right on the lake.

We have stayed at this property on numerous occasions and it is my favorite place to be in all of Europe. The staff is above and beyond accommodating, the dinner at the restaurant is absolutely superb and nothing can top the complementary breakfast. We will look forward to coming here again and again.

The property is truly unique and situated in a gorgeous location. The decor is very well done with a nod to the past and appropriate updates that merge both perfectly. The food menu is limited but everything was delicious. Breakfast is wonderful and the staff helpful and friendly.

Excellent hotel and service

A rare luxury hotel that has actually survived the Covid pandemic with all its comforts and guest services intact. Really enjoyed the range available at Breakfast, room service food was genuine restaurant quality. Incredible value for money when you consider where it borders and the staff were all friendly and professional. One of my favourite hotels and I stay in 50 plus each year.
